I guess I get the bad parent of the year award, as 2 of my kids have 27 in dvd/vcr combos in their room!

Well, I guess I am probably a bad mom too. My brother thinks my kids are too spoiled. They both have 27 inch tv's in their bedrooms, stereos, and dvd players. My son uses his more than my daughter does, but, he is a straight A student and he also reads extensively, so I don't really have a problem with it.

I have also gotten cell phones for each of them. However, I do that more for wanting them to be able to get in touch with me after school if they get left for whatever reason. I wasn't going to give the younger one hers until mid school, however, we got a great deal to add on a line with more minutes for about the same amount of money, so we have added her a line too.

Just stick around, I'm sure to piss some one off before you do. But everyone seems to forgive and forget. I have to remind myself every so often that what I type may not be as funny as it sounds in my mind.

Hehe I bet I can beat you! My oldest DS (9) soon to be 10 got a cell for his birthday last year! BUT with good reason! LOL he and my 8 and 5 year old sepnt the summer in Colorado with my parents who did not have long distance ont heir home phone OR a cell phone. I was so happy that I got my DS that cell phone last summer, I was able to call them whenever I wanted and they could call me whenever they wanted and not have to ask permission! It was great! Now it mostly sits in the drawer, but it does come in handy occasionally!

Banfi - is Banfi Rosa Regale... It's a sparkling red wine... goes great with chocolates.... and as we found out on the 10 day Xmas cruise - just about anything......

Hmmm.... Lauren doesn't have a TV in her room - just her playroom.... We do have more computers than we need.....

Responding to several messages here:

Forget about the number of channels, (which I think was 7) what about the fact that at some point not terribly late at night they would play the National Anthem and then you would get the test pattern for 5 hours or so until the broadcast day began again.

And I had to walk 5 miles to school, uphill both ways in 4 feet of snow while it was 110 degrees in the shade.

Now let me get this straight I am supposed to tell a bunch of strangers a lot of information incuding my kids names, ages, and post a picture of us and then tell you what stateroom we will be staying in?!?!?! There is 13 months left before the cruise I am bound to piss off one of you during that time. Call me paranoid but I don't think I have that much faith in the general goodness of mankind.

But hey this is Disney, the happiest place on earth...6516,6518, early seating.

Well, I can't speak for Jim. Though I can say that it's something scuba related!

Our possible purchase is scuba related too (isn't everything?). It's a place to stay, with our own bed, for scuba trips. LOL We're seriously considering acquiring my Dad's Class A RV. It's almost too good a deal to pass up. Apparently, it is also a lifestyle choice. We're thinking it would be really nice to have when we move to FL.

Anyone else hit the road in their own digs occasionally? Kind of wondering how many people cruise AND have RVs.
