Just kidding, Diana.....
We had a motorhome for a long time...but it started to have problems and a friend wanted to buy it and fix it up. I LOVED having it for our trips. It was so nice to get in and hit the road knowing that we could move around, go potty, eat.... and we didn't have to worry about a place to sleep. You'll love it. Hook-ups are a pain sometimes, and the care of the thing....but you have the "Handsome Handyman"!!!

Yea! Shared a T.O.P. with Diana!!!!

Nope, no RV'ing for me... if vacation doesn't involve some ELSE cleaning my bathroom, washing my towels, and making my bed, I'm not going!!! (And I'm not using my kids for slave labor... well... maybe to carry the Banfi like Sir Scuba does... but that's it...) My rationale is that on vacation, its time to live BETTER than we're used to... not the other way around.

(Don't get me wrong... I know lots of people have beautiful RV's and love them... but to me, its STILL camping.)

I was giving Diana a hard time about being a "50amp Gal" (someone that needs more power on an RV for all the creature comforts) and then YOU post!! :rotfl2:

You must be a "200amp Gal"!!! :earseek:

Anyone check on the current prices on DCL's site lately? A cat. 12 is now $1,000 more than what I paid for our cat. 8. The cat. 8s are going for $2,000 more than what I paid. WOW!!!

Angie

And, has anyone noticed that we're now over 3900 posts?! Can you tell I'm not motivated at work today????

OH NO... I certainly don't need the amps... I don't ever use a blow-dryer, don't need a TV on vacation, and don't need to do any cooking either... so it's definitely not a "power struggle" :rotfl2:

Touché !! :rotfl2: I don't know watt I was thinking......

Hey... who turned out the lights... oops- must have blown a fuse...

I started the 'official' brainwashing tonight... got the DCL DVD and popped it in... while the kids and DH were in the room... it has begun!!!!

DH doesn't even want to think about it yet... but once he started watching it... he couldn't stop himself!

We received our DVD last week and watched it - thankfully, I had read on the boards that there is a lot of clicking - we had the remote handy...The kids had fun playing "remember when" reliving their favorite parts of last year's cruise.

Maybe this will help further the "brainwashing" and/or waiting for the time to pass until next year...Found this news item in the special advertising section of ? issue of the Chicago Trib which my parents just sent in the mail:

In honor of the happiest celebration on earth, Disney is launching the new (and free) "Virtual Magic Kingdom" online game. Scheduled to go live in Summer 2005...Players can customize their very own characters and control them on a journey throughout a virtual Disney park. The journey includes battling buccaneers in Pirates of the Caribbean, esploring Adventureland on a Jungle Safari, and even comopeting to create the most kickin' fireworks ever!

But, this caught my eye (as if there isn't enough cross marketing by Disney) -

the game will also extend beyond the computer and right into the actual Disney parks where rewards, both real and virtual, await. This means the Magic Kingdom fun can be had before, during and after the trip...

Great - more opportunities for the kids to be plugged into electronics on a family vacation...talk about brainwashing... :earseek:

website: www.VirtualMagicKingdom.com - I checked - limited Beta testing in May...

We watch those shows about the cruise lines, and it's FUN!!

We say: We were on the Magic!!

They do make it interesting!! The DVD is pretty good.

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning everyone. Greetings from New York. It is finally a beautiful day here. Supposed to be in the 60's....waaaahhhhooooo!!! Sent kids to school with a short sleeved shirt on. About time.

I was MIA yesterday. Worked a double and by the time I got home last night, way too tired to log on.

What is the official name of Banfi? I, too am a virgin and would like to try it out. Not a red wine drinker, but I am feeling adventurous with this weather.

Hope you all have a great day.

TTFN,
Maria:)

Morning all!

Sue, we ordered the latest cruise planning DVD from Disney- it's not like being there - but, every little bit helps!!

Another Banfi virgin here too - There's not a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" type initiation or anything is there? :teeth: No sitting in the front row, umbrellas or toast throwing that we need to know about while enjoying Banfi... :rotfl:
