Maria, we need to get you AJ and my CJ penpaling. They will be the same age at cruise time. CJ will be 10 this year ,and 2 months shy of 11 when we cruise.

Caleb is a CJ, also, and will be 11 1/2 at cruise time. It's good to know that there will be someone close to his age to hang out with. His only complaint on our first cruise was that he didn't have any friends...

He still maintains that the doctor told him not to lift more than 5 pounds, not to push a vacuum cleaner, and not to use any chemical cleaners (toilet, sink, lysol spray) for at least a year. I think I'm going to his next eye appointment to clarify these very restrictive limitations!!!

Way to go Mike. OM, you should not question the doctor in your house. I'm sure he is giving you straight answers.

Let me know if this works because I'll be visiting a doctor for that same Rx.

Grandparents are coming today for dinner. They leave tomorrow to head back up north. We love it when they come and we love it when they leave!

What level of swimming ability do you need for the Royal Swim? My DH doesn't swim at all, but DS and I can get by OK. I'm wondering if we'd be better off with the encounter where we could all participate? Opinions anyone who's done this?

Happy to steal a T.O.P. Doesn't happen very often.

I hear you about the flu. I've got it, too. I couldn't get out of bed on Thursday and I'm still not 100% right yet. Come to think of it, I wasn't 100% right before I got this flu. LOL Anyway, I'm feeling better and I hope you are too. I'm able to function and get around and finally go outside. I missed 2 days of going outside.

whnim64 - Tell Caleb that he won't be alone next cruise. AJ will be 10 1/2 also by the time we cruise. His B-day is in January. Sounds like it's shaping up, this cruise.

But the question is still out there.....how can we get together BEFORE the cruise? I'm trying to think of a central place between FLA, GA, OH, and NY/NJ.....North Carolina comes to mind. What do you all think? I'm thinking maybe a January meet, after all the holidays....give me your thoughts.

We had some fun meets before our last cruise, at WDW and Las Vegas! It's pretty easy to talk people into going to either of those. If anyone is planning WDW trips, be sure and post it here several times.

Speaking of which, I just got flights for DD and I to go at the end of July for a long week just before school starts. July 28-Aug 8. Our AP's expire on Aug. 7, school registration is Aug. 9.

WHnim, we did a dolphin encounter at Discovery Cove a few years ago, it sounds a bit like the Royal Swim. We had swim vests on, and spent most of the time in an area where you could touch bottom. We didn't do the "nose push", though, that might be a bit scary if you don't swim.

Great! That isd one thing that made our Nov cruise so great for CJ. He had made 2 penpals from the cruise meet thread, and they hung around the while week and played yugioh! LOL He loved it!

I think if you can doggie paddle you would be okay, but you do need some swim skils. You do wear a life jacket, but the water can be quite choppy. Once the dolphins do their various tricks with you, they do not drop off back at the platform. You will have to swim a few feet back to the platform. WIth the water being choppy, and if you cant swim you may panic.
