I LOVE paella!! We had a good paella when we were there last time (several years ago). A smallish shopping area to the South of the downtown, right on the bay. They had a really cool merry go round in the place.

There is a restaurant there that was good, sorry, can't remember the name....

Have fun!! :hyper:

Ohh Scuba (guru of all things edible).... do you know where he's talking about???? :confused3

ETA: Just realized, he's talking about San Diego... thought he meant in Orlando... never mind... trying to get caught up at work, AND read the boards... I need to stop trying to work.

But what does this do for your move to Florida? Kevin is suspose to move to Florida so we can go diving!

Actually, this might make it easier to disengage her to move to FL before she graduates. If she went to the big HS and was on the drill team etc., it might be harder.

I think they are talking about Seaport Village. I just googled it and found the restaurant and shopping complex on the bay that has the merry go round. It has a two story restaurant. spvillage.com

Looks really nice. Hope that helps.

didn't realize til I re-read it that he's talking about San Diego, not Orlando... I was thinking that "there" meant "here"...

Jim, you're good. That's it! We ate at the Harbor House. A memorable event, though we couldn't remember the name.

Ugh. yet another place who can't call that darn rabbit the "EASTER" bunny. He's generically referred to as "the bunny." Seems like this year is the year to be PC about Easter. There's some place that is referring to him as the "Spring bunny."

I'm surprised we were allowed to celebrate SAINT Patrick's Day. Probably won't be long until we're toasting "Dude Patrick."

Oh, don't get me started on that one... (and don't EVER wish me "Seasons Greetings" or "Merry X-Mas")

Ahh... no better place than 'my home thread' to celebrate my 1000th post!

Great job on the 1000th post. I would have been close to that, except a few years ago when they made one of the moves on the boards, all of my posts got lost and I had to start over :(

My spring break has officially started. Went in and worked a few hours and now we are home. Now me and the kids and friends are off to go have some fun.

Karen, you don't know about tradition! Your milestone post is supposed to be philosophical!

Hey, everybody, it's Stacey's birthday! Maybe if we make a lot of noise, she will come visit!

Happy Birthday, Stacey!!!

It doesn't get any MORE philosophical than that... my biggest pet peeve is political correctness- especially at the expense of the TRUTH!!

Diana - What is the heart medication for Elvis, poor fellow?

OMG, no Easter Bunny in Ohio:sad2:

Diana - thanks for the reminder. Work has been so crazy I almost forgot.

:bday: Happy Birthday Stacey!:bday:

That's it!!

Why didn't I think of that??? I google just about "everything" else....... :confused3

Good food and a very short, enjoyable walk from the downtown area hotels.

Kiki, that would San Diego!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Just thought I would toss my 2 cents' worth in on dining in San Diego. Our all-time favorite is Anthony's Fish Grotto .....San Diego on the Bay. 1360 N. Harbor Drive.
I have one of their cups....I didn't just pull the address off the top of my head. Great food!

Morning everyone!!! :flower:

Happy Birthday, Stacey!

Off to a 5k and fun run this a.m. with the kids while dh, John is off to school...We went to the Rockets game last night, so everyone is dragging just a bit this morning. Hope everyone has a great weekend :goodvibes
