We loved the shirts! Only two problems...
#1 was that the embroidery on the front left the inside scratchy so the kids complained and didn't want to wear theirs (the backside of the embroidery was prickley--if that makes sense)
#2 mike was unable to wear his during the cruise b/c on the way to the port I looked over and his deodorant had *somehow* reacted with the shirt and instead of being blue like the rest of his shirt, his armpits were green. (luckily he's not checking the thread much so he won't kill me for saying this!) I told him it looked like "algae." Which didn't help! It washed right out once I got home, but it was unusable during the cruise (b/c I refused to do laundry!) :)

Other than that, I LOVED them!
My word Girl!! What kind of deodorant was that???? What kind of sweat was that?????

Must be the "industrial strength" stuff!! :rotfl2: That Mike, he's a Powerful Guy!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On the serious side, I got the golf style shirt and didn't have any problems at all. Nice shirt and I didn't have any problems with sticky embroidery.

We loved the shirts and I think the embroidery added a nice touch - especially the personalized names. I understand the scratchy part as I've had that on other shirts that have embroidery on them.

OM wish I knew. I did laundry twice on the cruise and washed our shirts in one load so we could wear them again on the 28th - we could have washed Mike's as well. :)

I'll see if Mark can take a picture of the back of the shirt tonight and post it. It was basically a graphic we got off the DCL site showing the ports of call. Wonder if they will put up a special map for us.

I believe Ohminnie on the scratchy stuff 100%....but.....I have very sensitive skin, and if I don't remove the tags and such, I'll break out in hives. The t-shirts didn't make me itch.
Which brings up a pet peeve of mine.......Why does Disney make it so darn hard to remove the tags in their clothing line????? They are the absolute worst to get out, and they use that plastic thread on some, so that I have to pick at it with tweezers to get every last piece. If it isn't totally gone, I'm like the Princess and the Pea...I WILL feel it!

Let me look and see if I have a pic of the back of the shirts, but I'm sure Mary can beat me to it, and post it.

I liked the shirts, the only bad part (and it was partly my idea) was the blue of the shirt, meant to represent the ocean, made the lime green lettering look funny.

See, I told you Mary would beat me to it!!! LOL. She is amazing!

Karen,

Thanks. Your husband, he had the "regular" shirt, not tye die, right? I'm writing all this down so I don't forget and can forward this onto Gail, the Tshirt lady. And the scratchy backing on the embroidery, right? I can see how that happens. Maybe they could put a backing on them.

Yeah, had he had the tie-dye I'd have never noticed! :)

And the scratchy backing was just in the area where the embroidery was. I didn't notice it, neither did Mike....but my oversensitive, can't stand the tags, one shoe is tied tighter than the other children were bothered by it!

The other side of Mike and his manly-man sweat.

No, it's that darn gel deodorant. I can't stand that stuff. But it's his pits! :rotfl:

Yeah, that'd have been weird. Uh, Mary, I know you hardly know me, but can you do my husband's laundry??? ;) And would you mind getting these brown stains out of his...

oh, nevermind. shouldn't go there!

DUH.......Ohminnie.....I just figured out why it bothered the kids and not me!!

They don't wear a bra!!!

OK I said I'd wash his t-shirt. Not his tidy whities. ;)

Here is the back of the shirt.

Y'all have me in stitches tonight! Ok, maybe it's the margaritas talking but all this talk of pits & doing other people's laundry has got me giggling & saying eeewww! Some conversation for a Fri. night!!!

Angie

Excellent comeback, Mary!

I'm out of here for the night. Jared has a game, and directly from there we have to drive down to Jay's games. I am going to quit saying "our" games, 'cause I haven't had to play in ages. I only play if they hold a gun to my too-old-to-play-softball head.::yes::

Have a nice night everyone!!

Mary,

Thanks for doing this. You're too much. Fast and efficient. I'm printing the picture of them. Now, where did you get that picture for the back? That would be really cool if we could get our itinerary on there. Any help is appreciated.

Maria

Maria - just layed it out on the bed and Mark took it with the digital camera and uploaded it for me.
