Here are five non edited reasons why the rest of us should watch the BCS title game:

1) It is the last game of college football for 2007.
2) There are great bands.
3) Ohio State might win (lose)
4) LSU might win (lose).
5) The point spread - either way 24 to 21 or 27 to 21 - a close game.

Now who will be at 21?

Thom Brenneman used to co-announce the Diamondbacks games with my favorite ex-first baseman, Mark Grace. They were a great team.


I have five news vans practically in my backyard. Some dummy tried to cross the flooded creek and had to be rescued. They just announced that he WILL be charged the $2000 fine for the Stupid Motorist Law.

Virgil, you made it out just in time.....this is our nice little creek crossing...

And this is what happened to someone who isn't smart enough to know not to go across.....he had to be rescued, was charged with reckless driving and fined $2000 under the Stupid Motorist Law. By the time we took this picture the water had gone down a LOT. It had been up over his windshield.

In the battle of the bands last night - OSU won no contest ... Even our friend, a former drum major for one of the smaller Louisiana state schools and a die hard LSU fan, agreed that LSU's half time show could have been a lot better...

Sorry to the OSU fans on the loss of the game. I'm really sorry I missed the band doing script Ohio. They must have done it in the pre-game show which I missed. I love watching that.

Just like last year - the dotting was cool and the OS band is awesome.

Congrats to the LSU fans......Guess the SEC has really come into it's own.

Ohio State - at least you played for the National Championship two years in a row...that alone is something to be proud about.

Yup, two years in a row we go to the National Championship game. And two years in a row our defense doesn't show up. That was a sad sad game. We played like pee-wee football players (no offense, KikiKaren!) We actually left Mike's dad's house when there was still 6 minutes in the game.

Ah, it was a rebuilding year. Not bad for a rebuilding year. But still.....

And the bands....yes, OSU won the half time show. We figured out LSU's band couldn't play AND march at the same time.
And some of them had music on their instruments. Never see that with OSU.

Ah well, at least we won something.

OSU does have a very young team and I'm sure will be back at it again next year.

If it's any consulation, we did not give up on the OSU could have turned around the game until the final few minutes. With all of the close games that LSU had this year, we know it's never over until it's over.

He hasn't been towed yet. His truck is now resting at the northeast corner of our property. It actually IS a new law...and really is called the Stupid Motorist Law. Just here in Arizona. It's a fine to anyone who crosses a running wash. Too many people (including rescuers) have died because some driver thought they could make it.
So an automatic $2000 fine, plus the charge of reckless driving, PLUS whatever it will cost him to have it towed off my property. Hmmmm...wonder if I can add to his misery by charging him with illegal dumping on private property? Just kidding.
