Sounds like it won't be long before they retire the Dream. Small ship, but I really liked it. Can't say as I'd want to be stuck on it with nowhere to go, though.

There is a nice 4 day cruise that departs on 12/24. That might work real well for some Florida locals.

Well....fun fun fun....hurry up Virgil and Frances, you're missing all the fun! NOT.

Waiting for our family doc's answering service to get through to him (why are they closed at 4:20??) Jared's bandages came off and the packing came out.
Three guesses where they'll tell us to go? I'm going to rent a room at that hospital!!

Just got home from taking Ash to the vet. He's a sick little puppy. Between Jay's drugs, Jared's drugs and now the dog's drugs, my kitchen looks like a pharmacy.

And to think I was going to sneak in a nap this afternoon and then have Jay take me out for a good taco.....

Hi all! We're back from our Christmas in Louisiana. Sorry I didn't have a chance to log on & say Merry Christmas. We had a nice one. Although, on Thursday I either came down with a stomach/intestinal bug or got sick from eating 1 raw oyster. I think it was a stomach bug because I had the 1 oyster on Christmas (Tues.) night.

Seems like I missed a lot here while I was gone.

On our car ride down to La. I asked Bruce what our plans for this summer will be. He shocked me & said that we should just do WDW again. I'll guess I'll start planning shortly. Emily & I watched the Disney Holiday special on the Travel Channel last night. It was updated with a segment about the castle with all of hte icicle lights.

Bruce & the girls went to see Enchanted last Friday ... I had to work. We may all go see it again this weekend.

I honestly think (yay!!!) that we have now seen the last of the ER. Knock on wood.

They had all 14 rooms full and people lined up waiting. And only one doctor!

When I called our doctor's answering service, a doctor I've never heard of was on call. The service said to wait a half hour for a reply and then call again if we didn't get a call. We called twice and then finally left for the hospital.

They numbed Jared's wound again and repacked it. It looks like most of the infection (the pus anyway) is gone, so he said that on Monday, our family care can remove the wicking (packing) and leave it out. I guess he'll use butterfly closures or steri-strips to close up the hole. So that's good news.

We got home at about 10:15 pm, and at 10:45, the on-call doctor finally called back. He said "If you expect someone to call you, you should unblock your phone" I have several very unlady-like words I could call this jerk right now. He's a doctor, and he's too stupid or lazy to dial *82 ????? (Many, many apoligies to Mike and Virgil...but I KNOW you all know how to dial *82) I was spitting I was so mad.
I told him that we'd already (hours ago) taken Jared to the ER and gotten him taken care of and he said "Good, that's what I was going to tell you to do"

I can't WAIT until Monday, to have a small chat with our family care doctor. It's HIS partnership and I don't think he'd appreciate knowing what that guy did. Or didn't do.

Anyway...I think the worst is over. Going to get the house cleaned up and be at the airport tomorrow with a monster smile on my face!!
