Hello??? Anybody home???

Just thought I'd check in and say hi. Megan and Dave have made a deposit on the chapel. It looks like a pretty place.
www.valleyviewcabins.com and it's the Hocking Hills (I think) wedding chapel.

They had to change their date from Saturday 31st to Sunday, June 1st. Someone already had Saturday.

I'll be more than a little crazy, getting back home and being in California on the 7th...and on the Magic on the 8th.

Hocking Hills is BEAUTIFUL!

Wanted to pop in to say hello... haven't had much time to stop in and 'visit' for awhile.

Please continue to send prayers and PD Zach's way... Hospice has now come in as of Saturday... but that hasn't stopped him. We had the end-of-the season football team party at the beach on Sunday, and he was the honorary team captain, so he got his trophy, yearbook and sweatshirt along with all the other boys. What a great day with all of our families... its so sad, but so sweet to see that he and his family are making the most of every single minute.

Last night, one of the parents on the team arranged a Christmas party for Zach (at Zach's house)... there were over 100 people there... Santa arrived on a City fire truck, and there was even (pseudo)snow falling. Santa led the kids in Christmas carols, and Zach had a wonderful time spending 'Christmas' with his family and friends. What a memory was made for his family- it was just unbelieveable... and so difficult at the same time.

Talk about life teaching you lessons of what's important... wow. :guilty:
Lets all remember to give thanks for our children... (even when they make us crazy!)

Have you been there? Megan went to see it on Sunday, and she said it was really pretty. It looks nice in the pictures....and it looks like they do a great job of handling everything. I am MORE than happy to let someone else handle the details this time.

That just breaks my heart. It's really wonderful for him and his family, but you're right....very sad at the same time.
More prayers for Zach.

This post brought tears to my eyes - of course pixie dust and prayers going to Zach and his family and friends.

 a little guardian angel to watch over Zach.

I've never been to that wedding chapel, but I've been to the Hocking Hills area many many many times over the years. In fact, Mike and I had our honeymoon in the Hocking Hills state park cabins. (yeah, it was low budget) ;)

It should be really gorgeous that time of the year!

Part of their wedding package includes two nights at the Valley View Cabins. Low budget...but really pretty, and romantic, I think!

Prayers and pixie dust for Zach. And his family. What a hard time of year to be dealing with this. I know I've been following the blog of a 2 yr old with Leukemia and he passed this weekend. Ick.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I love this little guy!

Since I am apparently the only one working (sigh) - have you seen this????

A Thanksgiving Forecast...

Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an afternoon high near 190F. The kitchen will turn hot and humid, and if you bother the cook, be ready for a severe squall or cold shoulder.

During the late afternoon and evening, the cold front of a knife will slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation of one to two inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift across one side while cranberry sauce creates slippery spots on the other. Please pass the gravy.

A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for the entire area, with increased stuffiness around the beltway. During the evening, the turkey will diminish and taper off to leftovers, dropping to a low of 34F in the refrigerator.

Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat sandwiches will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be expected both days with a 50 percent chance of scattered soup late in the day. We expect a warming trend where soup develops.

By early next week, eating pressure will be low as the only wish left will be the bone.

Cute!

Speaking of cold... Ray got a call last night- he's got to work the USF/Pitt game on Saturday... in Pittsburgh. He'll be leaving right after the pumpkin pie tomorrow... its a long drive on the WORST weekend to travel!!! (But they can't ship their equipment, so he's got to drive.) He's bringing along a co-pilot... Christopher. He will be soooo thrilled to watch a college game from the sidelines!!

I had to go out and buy Christopher a winter coat this afternoon... in 80 degree weather. Game time temp is only supposed to be in the 30's. Brrrr... which is why USF wants sideline heaters and lots of them!!!

Brrrr.....your boys are gonna FREEZE in those temps! :)

Nutty here. KT is in full swing with her HSM rehearsals.
Nick is in full swing with his Winnie the Pooh rehearsals.
And just today we found out he was cast as "Dwarf #5" for Snow White (it's a Bunraku Japanese puppet play)

Yeah, his rehearsals start next week.....during tech week for Pooh.

Kuh-razy times here. ;)

Good thing most of my Christmas shopping is done!

Good Morning All!

Plenty to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! John is already out the door taking pictures at a Turkey Trot an hour away. We're having 2:00 dinner at John's aunt and uncle's house. We're bringing rolls from my grandmother's recipe, green bean casserole (yes, the one with onion rings), and a salad.

Because we don't host Thanksgiving, what I miss most and my favorite childhood memory comes early in the day. I miss waking up to the smell of roasting turkey - my dad would get up around 4 am to put the turkey in the oven...

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
