Please send all the P & PD you can spare to my mom... she spent yesterday in the hospital after battling some strange neck pain for weeks... come to find out its something pretty serious, and she is freaking out right now. She goes tomorrow for more tests, and looks like she's going to have quite a road ahead of her. It's really making me crazy to be so far from home right now...

I think its funny that 'well, the creek is down' immediately follows 'I live to swim'... you're contradicting yourself!!!

Thanks for all the prayers for Mom... one of the effects of this disease can be sudden and permanent vision loss... which really has her petrified... she sees the opthamologist today, and goes for a temoporal artery biopsy tomorrow... I just wish I could be there.

It's funny, Jared kept saying "I can swim across that". Yes, you can....but see those tree branches?? We've seen whole entire COWS floating past, but my son thinks he can swim it.

My brother just called... Mom went to the opthamologist, and things look good concerning her eyes... tomorrow is the other appointment, but as long as she maintains her treatment, and continues to improve, her vision doesn't appear to be in immediate danger. Thanks for the prayers... keep them coming.... they work!

Mom went to the opthamologist, and things look good concerning her eyes... tomorrow is the other appointment, but as long as she maintains her treatment, and continues to improve, her vision doesn't appear to be in immediate danger. Lisa would like me to all let you know that she just finished Harry Potter #7. That makes her the first one in our family to finish - I should finish tonight while she is at the gym.

She could not wait until we came home from Michigan to read it (although that she would have had to fight Jim and I to read it), so she bought in the airport after seeing so many other travelers with the book - mainly individuals in their 20's. (I think they grew up with the series just like Matt has)

Yep - finished Sunday night. Loved the book, thought the epilog was a little too cheesey.
