So, are you moving NOW? Two bedrooms, planning to leave the kids in AZ? Well, someone has to mind the business, right?

Hon, why didn't we think of this?

Seriously, we still need to move. The altitude and dryness here is killing me. I just don't know where we should go.

OK!

Jim, get the guest house ready!!!

Not bad at all!! Do you have to fly in groceries and fresh water??

Nope....we just have to be at the store on Wednesday mornings when the new shipment arrives. It's dog-eat-dog that day!

Long story short, we've realized (duh) the the prices are never going to come down. We can buy something now and have a property management company handle renting it out (weekly, monthly) until we're ready to use it full or part time. At least that way, it helps pay for itself.

The two that we're looking at are just up the road from where we stayed a few years ago, and are right next door to Captain Don's Habitat & dive shop. Reasonably convenient enough to think we'd have solid rental.

And your guy's name is Matt!

And don't try to tell me that if I did get a house in Bonaire, you wouldn't be first in line to come visit! ;)

Nope. I don't think Matt has ever mowed the lawn. Jim & I used to do it when we lived in Michigan, but not in Florida. Our schedules have never really allowed us the time (and neither of us has the interest) to do this chore. It is much easier to write a check once a month to the lawn service.:cool1:

OK!

Jim, get the guest house ready!!!

Just hold off until August. Lisa is going to have some of her friends stay with her in it for her birthday "weekend". She will be turning 13 next week (and thankfully still looks 9) and then the teenage years begin. Matt hasn't been too hard (just the studying issue), but a girl could be a different experience. I know this is why Jim allows Lisa to commute to Gymnastics 5 - 6 times per week - He then knows where she is at all of the time. :rotfl2:

KT just had her well check up. She definitely has shot up. Almost 4 inches in the last year and 10 pounds! She has jumped up on her growth curve a LOT. Originally, based on her curve from the time she was born until last year, she was going to max out at around 4'11". Now the doc says she's more on a curve to be 5'3" or 5'4". Not too bad.

It does work, you know. Alicia claims that she has "no life". Her standard answer to invitations to "hang out" is, "I can't, I have rehearsal". So far, the teens have been pretty painless, but something tells me that is about to change. We were watching a movie last night, and her phone was buzzing with text messages non-stop. It was funny, Kevin just added text messaging to her phone earlier this summer, and it started buzzing the same day! I guess actually calling each other is too much trouble.

ugh. i hate chat on the computer. it takes kt and her friend 15 minutes to relay one idea.

one of them will say something, and then while the other is answering, the first one says something else. so then the answer isn't clear---was that the answer for the first thing? or the second? so then it takes 7 more lines of chat to clarify what was meant! ok, so as a teen I was on the phone a lot, but I definitely got more "done." ;)

As long as they don't drive while they are texting, I'll be happy.

and of course, NOT go over the message limit!! :scared1:

Wednesday joke... (I needed a laugh and Jason happened to send this to me...)

This morning, I was in a huge hurry and on my way to work. I was preoccupied with what my day held, and I rear-ended a car at a stoplight because I was not really paying attention. I had hot coffee in my lap and I was running late.

"Great, just great", I moaned.

The driver opened his door........leaned out of his car and stared at me. He was a dwarf. He got out, studied the damage on his bumper, and walked towards me as I rolled down my window.

He said, "I am NOT Happy"...

To which I replied, "Well..... Which one ARE you then?"..........

Uh-oh, Kevin! This scares ME!! What's her plan limit? Tori will have to tell you about her $400 Cingular bill some time!!! :faint: Oh - that was ME fainting, not her! :rotfl: And the one month she had "unlimited" texting (a teaser rate), the bill was so fat, it didn't fit in the mailbox!! :rotfl2:

I WON!!!!!!!!!!!

Alicia has 500 message for both text and pictures. She only used 279 last month and has the code to check every so often. I told her that if she goes over, she pays!!

It would be VERY hard for her to part with her hard earned wages, so I'm thinking she'll be good...... of course, we will see.

Actually, her name is Sharon. She write the check once a month.

And yes, I will be one of the first to come see you in Bonaire....just don't expect me to bring my lawnmower!

And that is exactly why I have not allowed Lisa to have chat or IMs. Pick up the phone and call. That way I get to hear at least half the conversation.
