I'll have the game on in the background as I work on taxes!! I take work breaks for the commercials!

No big plans for the Super Bowl. We'll be watching but care more about the commercials than the game itself. Of course if the Bears win I know I'll have a happy bunch at the office tomorrow (those that come in of course - we already have some taking a vacation day because of planned parties).

Just watched Billy Joel sing the National ANthem....always gives me goose bumps....but I cried when they showed our guys in Baghdad. Thanks for all you do, guys!!!

I did too Stacey. It makes me so sad to see them over there away from their families. Our friend in the army just left last week for Saudi and I sure thought of him and his family without him.

Especially when you consider what some people payed to sit in the rain! I know someone who made almost $10,000 by selling their Super Bowl tickets.

I just told Jay that maybe next year, we can make a bundle by renting out the guest house and the apartment....

And I was telling Virgil tonight that it seems funny that those of us who were on the 10 Night Christmas cruise are now watching our 3rd Super Bowl "together"......wow.

We're back from our "Soup"-er Bowl pig out. Appetizers: Knorr Spinach Dip, 2 kinds of queso, tamales, and quail bites stuffed with cream cheese and jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Then: Cream of Poblano Soup for main course. Desserts: Flan and also homemade expresso ice cream with lemon zest.

Why is the game on at 5:30 CST? I know ad revenue - but, it would be much nicer to actually see a 4th quarter without having to leave because the kids have school. Maggie was hoping the Bears would pull it out at the last minute.

Commericals were just ok this year. Bud had the most creative and runaway for the best ads. I loved the stray dog who got sprayed by the mud and then jumped on the wagon... Coca Cola ads were lame and they usually are creative. Fed Ex on the moon was good - but, no other real standouts...
