So how old is Prince? He hasn't aged much...His dancers need Sheila E back...

We were trying to figure that out when we saw him. Had to wikipedia him....

He's 48. Amazing what lots of plastic surgery can do for you, eh?

It was annoying. Mike's dad kept turning down the volume for the commercials. I couldn't make most of them out. :headache: Grrrr.

We left there after the 3rd quarter. No worries about the kids getting to school tomorrow....most, if not all, are closed for tomorrow.....wind chills are going to be too low!!! It's FA.REE.ZING! Brrrrr.

Of course, MY kids are ticked b/c they'll still have school! :rotfl2:

What is the Mouse mouse commercial. I must have missed that one.

And was Prince playing that electric guitar in the rain, or did he have cover? Cover would mean that noone in the stands could see him. What a mess.

I liked the crunchy Tostitos or Cheetos commercial they made for $13. The Bud commercials were all good, Coors not so much. But won the Superbowl Commercial play-off!

Did anyone see the clip early on of Peyton Manning doing Tango, about age 11-12? Too cute!

Same age as me. Hmm....plastic surgery...or cruise....hmmm...I'll take the cruise!

I made the guys do the opposite...turn down the game, turn up the commercials!

Bunny, guinea pig and mouse...in pet shop...bunny trying to get the "mouse" to work by clicking" It was cute.

By now you've probably already watched them online though, huh? The commercials, that is.....

I saw that clip, that was cute. And I kept waiting for Prince to be electrocuted and his dancers to slip in their high heels. They weren't under cover, because the stage was wet.

That is so sad you were looking for someone misfortune.
:confused3

I, personally, was looking for a wardrobe malfunction on anyone but Prince.

Morning All...

It is wet here - but I bet you knew that...

How are all the Superbowl Fans this morning?????

We had a small party to watch the game and commercials...No real fans, but the Colts held the most votes in this house last night...Sorry that my College quarterback threw so many interceptions...What a night for a game, Sunny Floirda indeed!!!!

Favourite Superbowl Commercial?

Sentimental won out - the white dog that became the dalmation....
Then the Blockbuster trying to log on with the mouse...hee hee..
Then the budweiser crabs.

Honorable mentions go to Fed-x on the moon (did not like the meteor hitting the man at the end),
Cokes - insert quarter - get a coke fantasy
And the superheros...

We served 3 types of chili - what leftovers, the weather kept several friends at home infront of the set ......

Hi everyone! Everyone have big superbowl plans? None for me just cleaning up...EEK yes me cleaning.....armagaden cant be far behind!! HAHA

Hey Amanda - if it wasn't for the Superbowl Party, I don't think we would have finished taking down the Christmas decorations....and parties are a good excuse, ooops I mean reason to clean the house.

It's not as bad as it seems...We took the comfortors to be washed after Christmas, so why bother putting up the remaining touches, like the matching shams, until they came back....So Saturday, all done....

Well, Saturday and Sunday after church and before the game, all done...

Well, all done except for the library......That still remains a mess....

OK and the utility room can use a sort.....

Good morning everyone!

Very cold here this morning! Not looking forward to going out in the cold or to work where there will be lots of dejected Bears fans. Oh well.

Commercials - I liked the Snickers one, throught the mouse one was cute, and liked the Bud one with the imitation dalmation. A good, but not great, group of commercials. One I didn't see last night but did in a recap this morning was an Oprah/David Letterman commercial which was cute.

Just watched Billy Joel sing the National ANthem....always gives me goose bumps....but I cried when they showed our guys in Baghdad. :cheer2: Thanks for all you do, guys!!!

Yes, Thanks....

And I appreciated the moment of silence for those who suffered through the tornados in Florida.....

Liked the start but then I turned to Mark and said I hope it didn't take the way of the Ohio State game. :)

Mary - do you believe in jinxes? Florida Quaterbacks are 1 for 2 this year....Remember I was rooting for your team this time....

I liked the previews of all the relatives bragging on why their sons, brothers, grandsons, cousins etc play.....And Hester (?) is right from here...They published a story in Sunday's paper.....

Sounds just like what I've experienced in the last 3 days driving between the my hotel near the Miami Airport and South Beach... I have NEVER seen such horrendous drivers and ungodly traffic in my whole life.

There you are...thanks for posting...I agree, I hate Miami traffic.....

And the Bud ads were the best again...

Sorry about the rain though...ucky!!!!

The online poll for commercials and I agreed with eachother! I'm not so sure that's a good thing......

And SIR James....I wasn't waiting (as in hoping) that one of the dancers would fall! Geesh.....a little credit please.....:confused3

A series of funny children quotes:

JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister.
After a while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and
one for cold milk?"

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she
was so old she didn't remember anymore. Melanie said, "If you don't
remember you just look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to
six."

STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom goodnight. "I love you so much
that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window."

BRITTANY (age 4) had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in
vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom
explained it was a childproof cap and she'd have to open it for her.
Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's
me?

SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please
don't give me this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough."

Di (age 4) stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I
cost?"

MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging and
kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his
Dad: "Why is he whispering in her mouth?"

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom asked
what was troubling him, he replied, "I don't know what'll happen with
this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in?"

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man
named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his
wife looked back and was turned to salt. Concerned, James asked: "What
happened to the flea?"

TAMMY (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather
wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then
asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?"

The Sermon this Mom will never forget....

"Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven
And a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but
Dust."
He would have continued but, at that moment, my very obedient daughter
(who was listening!) leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her
Shrill little girl voice, "Mom, what is butt dust?"

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
I just told Jay that maybe next year, we can make a bundle by renting out the guest house and the apartment....:thumbsup2

You should! I know of a VERY large corporate entity (hmm... betcha can't guess which one) that rents a lot of hotels/suites/short term rentals/etc for every SuperBowl... they usually start bringing people in on Jan 2 in preparation for an early Feb game... just something to think about.
