Yes, Thanks....

And I appreciated the moment of silence for those who suffered through the tornados in Florida.....

Me too. I just found out that some dear friends of mine lost their home. He had just retired on Dec 31. Nice old home on the river. So sad.

Our company is "adopting" one of the mobile home parks that was hardest hit. We are reorganizing schedules so that our people can get out there and help with the clean up. It is such an incredible mess.

Welcome back, if you are back yet.....

Sorry to hear about your family friend...This is so sad......And what a wonderful community service from the company to actually send people to help.....

Take care everyone, extra hugs for the kids tonight...

Later/// :wave2:

Just returned from FL. Unfortunately my Aunt was one of the 20 victims. 2007 not starting out well for many. Reminds me of when Hugo hit Charleston all those years ago and the terror I felt then in middle of night. My thoughts and prayers to all who lost their homes and family members, and friends.

It has switched to "gorgeous" weather wise here. At least this winter has not been boring and predictable.

My heartfelt prayers and sympathy to you and your family.

I can't even believe the devastation... I have become the volunteer relief coordinator for Hawthorne Hills, the hardest hit place in DeLand, and I was totally unprepared for what I saw in my 10 hours there today. The photos on TV do not even begin to show the conditions. My prayers go out to everyone involved... but especially to the families like yours who have lost a loved one. My heart is breaking...

What hurts me the most is these elderly people whose homes are condemned, yet they refuse to leave. I've been working with the City PD victims advocate and the Red Cross to try to convince these poor souls that there is a better place for them, and it isn't their destroyed trailer... they are so scared and just don't want to leave 'home'.

Debb, I'm so sorry. You and your family are in my prayers! :grouphug:

Deb, I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. My prayers are with you & all of your family.

KikiKaren, keep up the great work! You work is very much appreciated.

Debb,

So sorry to hear about your family. Pixie dust and prayers to all of your family:grouphug:

This has not been a good week for us either. My aunt who has been suffering from brain cancer passed away on Sunday. She is finally without suffering. It had gotten really bad, and she had to have 24 hour attention. I wish I could go, but it is impossible to get away and get out to California this week.

On Sunday night I found out that a friend's 13 yo son died in a skiing accident. It is so tragic. The funeral is tomorrow and I am dreading going. I know I will be in tears the whole time. I feel so bad for the family.

I hope everyone else has better weeks.
