So, what the big announcement today from Disney Parks?

No phone call from IC for me.

We're going to see High School Musical at the theater in ATL tomorrow. We're all excited about it. I may be more excited than the girls.

Mike had a patient last week that was pretty sick. He swabbed her throat and she had strep. Explained that she had to miss school the next day and that she'd be contagious for 24 hours after starting the antibiotic and she should stay away from people.

She and her mother both shot each other a horrified look.

Mike asked them what was up. Mom said "we have high school musical tickets for tomorrow night. can we still go?"

Mike said "no, you can't. you'll be too sick, but my daughter will gladly take your tickets off of your hands for you."

Then he immediately said "i'm kidding. you can go. have a great time!!!!"

darn. almost had those tickets!

You're going to love it. The music was really good. We watched that outside, across the street with all our neighbors. It was like a drive-in movie - without the cars. I enjoyed it as much as the kids. I was singing along, too.

Have fun and the girls will be singing the songs all the way home. Next will be to get the songtrack. Good luck....

I'm thinking Angie is talking about the live tour that the HSM kids are doing.....not the movie version.

It is the movie version on a live stage and not the original cast. We're going to see the live show at the Fox Theater. It's not so much a tour as Disney picked 5 cities to put on the performance using local theater groups. My thinking is that this was Disney's way of feeling the waters to see if a tour would be profitable. My guess is YES!

OHMinnie, was the show that you were talking about the original cast on tour singing? I have seen that advertised too.

Yup, the original cast one is the one that came to Columbus.

We had to watch Jump In on the premiere night so that Emily could enter to the contest to meet Corbin Bleu.

Hanging out today to see if I get "the call"....but making good use of the time by doing the taxes. Whoopee. Seems like I just did them, and now it's time again.

Jordan has a dance competition tomorrow...for the high school team....and last night was her first official night as a paid teacher at the dance studio. Told her she had to start saving her paychecks for that truck she wants to buy. We offered to buy her a cute little VW, but she wants a truck.

Hi all, gotta love Friday afternoon. My weekend has begun. I have to take Ashley to a music lesson at 5:00, Dale has all-region band practice tonight and all day tomorrow, and then the concert tomorrow night, Ashley has a swim meet about 40 miles from home tomorrow and Sunday. Just another relaxing weekend. The kids Solo/Ensemble competition is the following Saturday. I someday will have a clean house, the day when I am actually able to be home some. Oh well.....
