5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 12

Well, it is official, I called DCL this morning and cancelled the cruise we had booked for November 2007 (we were going to move it to 08). We will not do any Disney cruising next year.

I also called DVC today and was able to snag some rooms during Spring Break. We have decided to go ahead and to WDW. We have never gone during Spring Break, so I have no idea what to expect. At least our Spring Break is early (March 12-16), so maybe it won't be too bad. We decided to go ahead and go over Spring Break so we can concentrate on looking at colleges for Dale in the summer and on Ashley's swimming schedule.

4 nights in a 1 BR at SSR and 2 night in Studio at BCV. Waitlisted for last night, but if we don't get it, we may just go back to airport on Sunday evening, because we have an early flight out on Monday morning. Charley really wanted to just stay at SSR the whole time, but the kids love going to BCV for the pool

I will if I need to, but we don't know when Matt starts college so he might be able to.

One of us will take care of Lisa if you can talk Sharon into going on the cruse.

Glad to hear y'all are going to WDW!! We've gone during Spring Break the past several years and the crowds are definitely manageable! Have you stayed at SSR yet? (we're staying for the 1st time in May.) And I definitely agree with the kids about SAB! Have fun!

Amanda, we're doing to WDW in June & thought of doing the tour. We haven't done it before. What didn't you like? Or did you not like it because you've done it before?

I have loved this tour in the past...I dont want to ruin it for you but do you know the surprise at the end??? White test in case you dont....

Used to be, at the end of the tour, you found Wendy and Peter, one time we had Belle. You got to meet and greet with them, have a photo and the best part of all, was that you would ride a ride with them. Once we did its a small world, most recently we did philharmagic and again we did philharmagic this time however, the characters no longer go with you. This past september we had such an awesome tour, and peter and wendy escorted us from Liberty square to fantasyland, all while playing following the leader..then once in the preshow area for Philharmagic, while waiting we all played duck duck goose. I will ALWAYS remember that and the light in the kids eyes that day. Now I was not expecting that same degree, because I know we had a very MAGICAL moment that day. BUT what I was unprepared for, was that the character no longer accompanies the group. It was basically, a "ho hum you saved the Magic Kingdom, now lets take pics and we have to go be in the show bye now" The tour is very fast pacedand is 2 hours long. In the past I have felt that the payoff was well worth the price, but no longer....Just disappoinment is all. I no longer feel that the value is there for what they are charging. Anyway just MTCW

Amanda, I posted a while back, yes. We have a tentative plan to move to FL in summer '08. Which might really be '09. Anyway, Alicia wants to go to college in FL, and we want to live there. And we can only afford college for her there if we are residents, so there you go. Gainesville is our pick, so we'll see how it goes.

OK, Jim, does Sharon seriously want to go on the Panama Canal cruise? In August? Maybe she, I, and Amanda can figure something out. If we can find a category cheap enough for me, split three ways. How much for a lifeboat? Then there would be a whole bunch of escaping Moms!

Cool! See what I miss when I am away too long! I had no idea! WOW You have been talking about wanting to move, but I had n idea there were actual plans in place! AWESOME Diana!

And Im in for the PC Eastbound REPO cruise with WHOEVER will have me, whereever they will have me! I will sleep in the closet if need be, or the tub....

Yes, the Escaping Moms are at it again. We don't have a room yet, but we are hoping to go on the Magic's August Repositioning cruise from California back to Florida.

Anyone (except the kids and men!) is welcome to join us. It would mean the booking of another room or two, but please know that you're welcome, and we plan on having a great time!

Oooh... don't tempt me... just think what a GREAT 'belated' 40th birthday present THAT would be!!!! After all, I AM taking Ray to Sandals Jamaica for HIS 40th birthday this April. (Well... his best friend is getting married there... we ARE the wedding... but we'll celebrate his b-day, too... so that's his birthday gift... )
