CONGRATS Jim!!! :thumbsup2 I know you & all of your family are proud of you. Did anyone go out to cheer you on? I like when Bruce runs the local 1/2 marathons. We can cheer him at the beginning, grab some breakfast then cheer him toward the end.

Ang

They were all still in bed when the run started. :confused3

Lisa did call me on my cell at 9:00 to see how I was doing. And how exactly was I going to answer the phone? :rotfl:

One lady had a great support team. Her husband had a small bike and road the course with her. He had all her food and drinks. Nice team.

Did I mention my family was still in bed? :rotfl:

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Jim. Good job.

Although I did 26 miles TWICE yesterday.

in my car :lmao:

Hey Garry - check your pm's. I sent you one about Saturday!

OK Jim, now that you have the full under your belt - John's working an ultra on the 9th...Why rest on your laurels

I'll have to think about doing an ultra. After a couple years of running marathons, because there are a few I would like to do, I might move into triathlons or into road riding.

So many options.....so little time!

Scared to even look at the prices for 2008

Have to look at prices for our flights for 2007 back from AU and a little nervous from what I have seen and then X4 as we are taking the kids with us and so far only paid the non-refundable deposit for the cruise!!!!

EEEEkkkk!!!!

Well I received email from my travel agent awhile back and one good news- for those of us with larger families and not one of us have passports already and don't really NEED a passport or desire purchasing one... they won't be requiring passports in 2008 like they had anticipated they would.
yah!
:rotfl:

On another note- hi everyone!
Congrats Jim!

I tried to post a few times -I know I've been absent for awhile- but it seems like everytime I go to post and submit- the board goes down for awhile! Maybe it's because it's usually late a night. Let's try a different time and see if I can manage to post without killing the board. LOL

Hope everyone is doing well! We're doing great. Just been really really busy- as always once the school year starts. We're also supposed to be closing on our new home in just over a week.. so things have been busy (and a little stressful, might I add) here lately.

Any ideas when the dates will open for summer 2008? I was hoping by the end of this year but it doesn't look like it if thru april just opened up?

Today was my big day. I ran my first marathon this morning. It was not pretty, but I finished with my pride intact This was a small marthon so I could get one under my belt before my Dec marathon in West Palm Beach.

I'm going to bed early tonight! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!!! (Have I told you lately that you're crazy??)

Just two minutes ago, I read that Lance Armstrong ran his first marathon yesterday... his time was 2:59:36... what was yours??

I repeat my earlier post... I only run when being chased.

Lance can rest assured that I won't be beating him anytime soon.

Matt and I were coming home from school and he pointed out we were following Pug Jr.

Will he be returning to DIS after football season?

Calling all techies and photo geeks.....(that just about everyone on this thread).

It's time for us to finally get a photo printer. I've been using our multi-printer and it does fine, but not great.

Any recommendation on what photo printer I should be looking at?

I think these questions are best left to Kevin but for what it's worth, we've been happy with our HP PhotoSmart printer that we've had for 6 years. But, it's also a do-everything sort of printer too. So maybe I'm not much help after all.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend, today sort of wizzed by without us getting much done!!!
Back to work tomorrow, DS has early release at 11.30am and both kids are off school on Tuesday!!! :confused3 :confused3

We have a HP Photosmart 8450 which works great, but more often than not I pull out my Epson PictureMate Deluxe.

No way!!!

Technically, he isn't involved in the football aspect of his company - he is VP of Motorsports... but ends up doing some college games because they have so many college contracts to fulfill. He just went to the PGA Tourney in Atlanta this week, as he's working on a contract with the PGA (no, not racing EITHER, but its a small company.)

It's off to Vegas for me at 6AM Tuesday (which means a 3AM wakeup)... home Thursday night at 10, work Friday, and off to camp with our church youth group for the weekend right after work. I'm gonna need a vacation after this week!!!!!

Why not do both - marathons are usually opposite of tris - great off-season training!

Houston Marathon is in January - come on out! Nice flat course - great for a PR. Not to mention the colorful spectators who line the route: the belly dancers, drag queens, bag pipe bands and other characters (not to be confused with Minnie and Mickey during the Disney Marathon...)
