Thanks OM for reminding me why I left the midwest!!! Snow :rotfl2:

We've had really nice cool weather - upper 60s...I'd still rather Castaway, though...

My baby boy's 12th birthday was yesterday. Between church and a final matinee performance and then strike, he didn't get much of a birthday. The only time we could fit in his birthday dinner with John was at lunch on Saturday. We brought cookies to share with the kids chorus and the cast sang Happy Birthday. He chose sonic and a dvd over dinner at a restaurant after the show last night. We were all exhausted. I think I feel more guilty and upset than Mike that we weren't able to make his day special.

OM, Mike has to read either a Newbery book or a Texas Lone Star book for his next book report - I narrowed a few out of the bookcase and he chose Survivng the Applewhites. I think mentioning Nick cast in the play helped :)

Good morning all!

Sat. was Ashley's 4th birthday. We had a whirlwind day ... soccer game for Emily, Ashley's b-day party at a gymnastics place, the fall festival at day care. We were all wiped out Sat. night. Yesterday was a day of relaxation.

We're a bit chilly here today & will be again tomorrow morning ... but not snow, thank goodness. There's a reason why we live in the south!

My friend got our tix to see High School Musical in Jan. The girls will be so excited to get the tix for Christmas. Now, I just have to keep my big mouth shut!!! This will be their first time to see a live performance ... that is, other than something at WDW or the cruise.

Cool! After we get the DVD of it, I should send him a copy. Might be cool to see the "movie" after he reads the book! :) Interested?

Our next show is Arsenic and Old Lace. The plays are not as popular as the musicals, even though they are just as well done. I had thought of auditioning - not only because it would be fun, and less crowds...then I was asked to Stage Manage - Didn't have to think too hard. Just as much work if not more - but, no memorizing!!! :cheer2:

The bonus is my parents are trying out the retired snowbird thing, and staying over Christmas for a month (not at our house, in a hotel) so, they will still be here during set construction and tech week which will keep both John and I busy...I'll have driving babysitters - the kids won't miss their activities or sleep!!!

The director wants to design the house set as somewhat quirky pack rat type - so, my mom is just dancing at the thought of unloading all of her inherited stuff in the crawl space she never quite knew what to do with...I think we'll have lace doilies coming out of our ears... :rotfl2:

Isn't that just the greatest news?!! :yay: Couldn't have happened to 2 nicer people. :cheer2:

Greetings everyone from Castaway Cay! It is true - Mark won the trip at this mornings member meeting. To say we are shocked would be an understatement. Especially since I kept wanting to leave the presentation!

Haven't decided where we are going yet but we have to use it by next October. We'll have to do some planning when we get back home!

Did the seahorse snorkel today and really enjoyed it. I kept having problems with my snorkel and I found out why - it is cracked. Still a good time. Just got out of the shower using the new spa shampoo and conditioner...NICE!

Congratulations Mark and Mary. How exciting to win a vacation while you are on vacation.

Any news on the 2007 Member Cruise??

Congrats on the "B*I*G" win!! How exciting!!

Underwater is a cool place!! I hate those stupid rental snorkels, one big reason I alway take all of my gear. It's a pain, but at least I know it works.

Did you like the shampoo? Can't wait to use it........... :rotfl2:

sorry, I know, no one likes a educated donkey!! :rolleyes1

Hi all! No news on 2008 dates. No news on the 2007 Member Cruise but I'm thinking we'll hear about that tomorrow. Kevin - it was my own snorkel. Guess we'll have to go get a new one when we get home. :)
