Stacey, you got some really good pictures! Now I am afraid to look at mine. Actually, I was kind of glad Edward decided to escort us around Soufriere. We were the only tourists in town that day.

And Vicki found time to post! How goes the move, Vicki?

Cool moon out there tonight!!!!!!!

Agree! Sharon and I both mentioned it as we saw it shimmering on the St. Johns River while going over the bridge.

So here it is, mine & Ray's 16th anniversary... and I'm sitting here with the dog while everyone else is at football. Oh well... had a nice lunch with my hubby today. Its nice that he has a boss that lets him out of the office once in awhile... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

If we only knew you could have joined us on our Friday night gymnastics drop off and had dinner with us.

Gretchen could have spent the evening with Molly and Matt. :rotfl:

Will we be seeing you at the parade this morning?

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 87 weeks*!

*DISclaimer. This is based on a sail date of June 7, 2008. This can of course change once the 2008 dates come out and if DCL has anything special planned.

Happy Anniversary

Chiming in as another October bride - 17 years on the 14th. I refused to get married in June because I didn't want to wear nylons in the summer. It was a beautiful fall day in Illinois, colors were brilliant. The girls were in Midnight blue velvet and taffita It was over 80 degrees!!! :lmao:

Parade? No. What parade? Oh... probably PO Family Days? Nope... its a typical football Saturday for us... then dinner at our house with the coaching staff... and their kids. (About ten 13 year old boys... guess MY kitchen will be empty in the AM...)

Yes, that sounds remarkably familiar! I had a long-sleeved gown, and it was over 80. Yet it was so windy that we couldn't do outside photos because everyone's gowns (and hair) was constantly trying to 'exit, stage left'. Ended up with all indoor photos.

The entire week of our honeymoon was over 80... and we were in the Pocono Mountains... so we packed for 'October in the mountains'... I ended up searching the clearance racks at a K-Mart that we found somewhere in PA just to buy a pair of shorts.

Another October bride here - 16 years on the 27th. I picked October because I wanted to wear long sleeves and satin. We had a beautiful day but cool - more in the middle 60's so it worked out great. My girls were in dark green velvet and satin.

Another Oct. couple here too ... 9 years on the 17th. No particular reason for an October wedding other than we got engaged in May and Oct. is the soonest that the church would let us get married. We had beautiful weather as well. I was little chilly at night (once the sun went down) in a sleeveless dress. My 2 bridesmaids were in navy blue. I guess a summer wedding in Vegas would have been WAY to hot anyway.

We picked October because that's when we had met two years earlier and began dating. And because of Columbus day, I would get an extra day off work. At that time, the bank I worked for would only give me one day for my own wedding!
That's one reason why we were just married in a judge's chambers.

Now I'm glad it worked out that way, because when we did our vow renewal in Key West, I got to share it with some of my DIS friends!
