Good morning!

Irene, last I heard regarding the Shuttle: they found some bolts that were "problematic" (????!) - installed incorrectly; and since the Shuttle was already on the launch pad, they needed to build a special scaffolding to make the repairs; unsure if repairs would be done in time for 8/27 launch.

Guess I don't get off the strip much, huh? I never have a car. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Us going "off-strip" comes from Bruce & I living there (Green Valley area). The only time we ever went to the strip was when people came in town to visit and prior to me moving out there. Our gambling, if you can even call it that, consisted of going to Sunset Station since it was at most 2 miles from the house. It was neat being able to sit on the back patio & watch fireworks from the house on the 4th of July & their anniversary celebrations.

I'm working from home today. Emily is home sick with a sore throat. Normally I'd be a bad mom, give her Motrin & send her to school. But, her birthday is on Fri. & party on Sat. Think I'll take her to the dr. to make sure it's not anything serious (strep). I'm sure I'll be paying a $15 co-pay to be told it's just a cold & it's got to run its course.

Laura, want to head back to WDW in December? When does Tori finish school? Our trip is now set. We will be arriving in Orlando late on Dec. 14th for three nights at AKL, then four nights at BCV. Leaving very early on the 21st. We have the room for an extra night, for now, hoping to get a DING from Southwest so we can return on the 22nd. Right now we're using reward coupons for the return flight, and black out dates start on the 22nd. We are not planning to get a car, going cheap, Kevin is not even planning to dive. Unless Alicia talks him into Dive Quest again.

So, let us know if anyone will be in the area. Sharon and Jim, maybe for your Friday night date in Orlando, you could come join us for dinner. Do you guys have seasonal passes this year?

Never say never, but right now it doesn't look like we'll be at WDW in December Gwinnett County, GA's school calendar is pretty full this year - no 4 day weekends, no good "breaks" - and this year, Tori's in school UNTIL 12/21; then goes back on Jan 3rd. (last year she got out on 12/16 and we headed to Orlando!!!)

Hi All -- Wish I was making plans to be in WDW this year. Our kids don't get out os school until 12/22 this year. Actually, we have no plans for going back to WDW until Summer 2008. That seems so far away. We have several college visits planned for next summer.

Ashley's BD is on Sept. 1 and she is having a sleepover party with 10 little 12 yo girls this Friday night. Yuck, I hate sleepover parties and I am not looking forward to it.
