You know what I liked the best about this movie? It's for grown-ups, but there's no swearing! And to think they thought it couldn't be done!

Yea, that's great!!!!!

I, too, get sick of hearing the profanity. What really bugs me is when they take a kids movie and it's a GREAT movie, then they have to throw in a couple of swear words in it. :confused3 What's with THAT?

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Tuesday!

Well after a nasty run of storms last night they say we should be cooler today. Going to be kind of a wierd day for me. Heard from an old grammer school friend last night that her mom passed away. So I'm going to leave work a little early and head out to the wake. It will be good to see her and her family again but under sad circumstances. Also found out yesterday that Mark's dad may need gallbladder surgery.

Checking in - no time to chat, maybe later.

I wish you all a Cool Day....esp. those suffering from heat and fires.

Pixie Dust for all.......

prayer for your friend and Mark's mom's possible surgery. We'll be thinking about the both of them. My grandmother's birthday was yesterday so I toted all the kids out to the cemetary to visit her. It was her first birthday since her death in Nov. We all really miss her dearly. We brought her balloons and flowers but the florist didn't think the flower would make it in the 100 heatwave we are having this week.

Just got home from dinner and a movie with Sherry, (yes...our Sherry from here!), some of her friends and my Megan. We saw "The Devil Wears Prada". I couldn't even remember the last time I was in a theater. Nemo, maybe? Chicken Little? Shark Tale? And obviously, it wasn't a grown-up movie.

You know what I liked the best about this movie? It's for grown-ups, but there's no swearing! And to think they thought it couldn't be done!
Oh..yeah...and I got to sit next to Sherry. That was good, too. She doesn't talk in movies like Megan does.
stacey,

good for you, getting to relax and not running around everywhere to drop off and pick up. :cool1: :cool1: glad you had fun at the movies popcorn::

the boys went to NY with my brother and his wife this past weekend and Chris sends me this email offering to watch the younger two kids for a day so I could do what I want. How sweet is this but are they not your kids also? We ended up going shopping together and he took Matthew around and I had Maddy, who by the way need to use the potty in public every 5 minutes. :crazy2:

Good morning. Finally I have Internet access.

We are currently at the Kenai Princess Lodge. The weather has finally turned nice, it is sunny and in the low 60’s. At Denali it was cloudy and misty. We had a scenic flight in a small float plane from Denali into Anchorage and flew over glaciers. It was a great 90 minute ride in a very small plane.

This morning Matt and I go fishing. Sharon and Lisa go horseback riding. This afternoon we all go kayaking

Last night dinner was “included” so Matt set the stage by surf and turfing using King Crab Legs and Filet. He is starting to think of this trip as a land cruise!

Got to go fishing!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It WAS funny, though, to get that bra, and there's a full page, with drawings in the package. I thought "What the heck??". It's a strapless, but has those clear straps, and for some reason they felt the need to explain how to adjust the clear straps.
:sad2: They must think women are idiots.

And best of all, Mama's got both her babies with her. But don't tell Matt I called him a baby!

This was just posted on a travel site I subscribe to. I don't know where Great Exuma Island is, but just in case anyone's planning a trip there.......

"Last month on Bahamas' Great Exuma Island, a malaria outbreak was reported with at least 16 people having tested positive for the potentially fatal disease. Travelers are being advised to take precautions against the mosquito-borne threat. Although malaria is not considered endemic on the islands of the Bahamas, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is temporarily recommending that travelers to Great Exuma take prophylactic chloroquine, an antimalarial medication, as a preventive measure. Travelers are also advised to use mosquito repellents containing 30 to 50 percent DEET."

dzneprincess,

have fun in AC. Win,win, win!!! If you are gambling good luck.

Thank you for this! I did win! First night I was beat but the machines were calling me! I decided to at least play a $20....that went too quick..then I decided one more..it was going quick too ( I was only betting one coin) then I said okay forget this crap I am going to bed if it hits it hits..so I started hit play max (3 quarters) and I hit! Nothing grand or anything! But enough to cover my airfare! The concert was great! I had a blast! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

That picture just cracks me up. I dunno....but the dog just doesn't look *real* in that picture. All the other pictures I took of it look fine, but this one.....something about it....can't put my finger on it.

Anyway....talked to my mom this morning. The puppy barked ALL night...well, except for that time when it SOMEHOW squeezed through the bars of a baby gate and went up to the bedrooms to find someone (hmmm, think that's b/c they let the puppy sleep in bed with KT and Nick while they watched TV????) Anyway, the kids were leaning towards "Madison" as a name, but my mom had not gotten the email about "Minnie." I told her the reasons why Minnie would be good and she relayed that onto the kids....who said they liked that one as much as Madison. Haven't heard the final decision. :)

Hopefully they spent the day today wearing the puppy out so it sleeps tonight!! :)

Of course she started late! Shes Madonna! LOL She never takes the stage b4 845pm! She started at 9pm! Non stop dancing and singing for hte next 2 hours! From her and me! LOL M breaks her show down into 4 themed sections..at least she has done that on all the tours I have been to..This was no different. She had her horse/dominatrix outfit for the opening.....then sh changed into the outfit that you all have probably seen her wearing on the disco cross...kinda bohemian like....then there was the rock outfit..black pants and tee with black leather jacket and big boa feather collar! Then for the disco section she was in Travolta's white suit! WOOT WOOT! and that comes off to reveal a white fill body leaotard with purple lightening stripes down the side! And then for encore ( but not really because we dont have to go thru the charade of clapping and begginf for encore she just puts it into the show right away) she changed into the now famous purple leotard and sang Hung Up and Lucky Star!! It was soooooooooooooooo much fun! I know I had to at least lose 5 lbs from that show! AS I was up singing and dancign the whole time too, and as Sherry posted a while back, she does not like the A/C on so it gets HOT HOT HOT!!!! I was very sweaty when I left!
