So I'm gone for four hours, and NOTHING!?

Okay...let's play a game. I had to make a bunch of doctor appointments this morning. I'll list them, and you guess who has the longest wait.

Eye Doctor
Dentist
Dermatologist
Orthopedic Surgeon

I figure I'm safe discussing this, since Jim's out of town.........

Dermatologist

Around here you have to wait forever to get in to a dermatologist.

Did I get it? :confused3

I agree with Karen. My first choice was dermatologist.

I guess I should ask for more info....

is the dentist appointment for a regular cleaning or this problem you're having?
is the orthopedic surgeon for an injury?
is the eye doc for a regular vision exam?

b/c for regular preventative stuff they put you off to the first available, but if it's an emergency or for repair of something, they get you right in.

I was.....ugh....cleaning the basement. Kids are in Cleveland so I'm going to tackle getting rid of some things while they are not around to know it!!! :lmao:

Plus, Mike wants to move his computer desk from the guest room to the basement and set up a podcast recording studio down there. :)

U TOP with Stacey, Mike and a very cluttered basement!

GMTA!!! Even if we're wrong, at least we'll know we have great minds....b/c we thought alike. ;)

Well...here's the reasons:

Eye doc is for Jared to get fitted for a different pair of contacts

Dentist is for my chipped teeth

Orthopedic surgeon is for my knee pain and bone spur in my heel

Dermatologist is for a weird skin thing Jordan has. She'll love that I told.

HEDGIE

I think I'd still go with dermatologist. But orthopedic surgeon is a close second.

I complain about joint pain all the time.....and I tell Mike.....and he says "make an appointment....I'll bet by the time your appointment comes around, the pain will be gone." booger.

seems like whenever I try to exercise my joints do funny things. My hips click after a walk on the treadmill. Today after a bike ride my left knee popped with every step. I'm falling apart! :(

I was waiting on the knee thing, to see if it would go away. Instead, it got worse. Getting old stinks.

OKAY...so the answers in order are..........

Longest wait: Dermatologist (I only hang with you guys because you're so smart!!)

Next: Orthopedic Surgeon

Next: Eye doc

Got in within 4 hours of calling: Dentist

It's a good thing I got my deck chairs when I did. Once the dentist gets through with me, I won't have any money left.

Better go to Vegas and win some!

Turns out, the reason my teeth are chipping is because I am grinding them in my sleep. I know that I clench my jaw when I'm awake, so I totally believe this is the case. It just seemed odd that it was front teeth, but when we watched my teeth move, you can see exactly where they've been going and what it's doing.

So....veneers on 10 top teeth....a mouth guard (prevention)....and resurfacing and bleaching (he's tossing in the bleaching free whoopee) on the bottom.....
$15,200.00
There goes any dream Jordan may have harbored (however falsely) of getting her own car!

Jay says for that kind of money, they ought to toss in plastic surgery, too.

He's mean.

That doesn't surprise me either. I remember making KT and Nick's initial appointments for their pressure checks and it took awhile to get them in (of course, never helps when I want to get TWO in at a time......but does help that I can come in during school hours)

If you're Mike you can get an eye doc appointment REALLY quick. Two days after laser surgery for glaucoma just call and say "my vision is all cloudy in that eye and it hurts like the dickens." He had a doc meet him at the back door of the office on a Saturday when the office was closed. :)

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

they've been telling me for years that a mouth guard would be a good investment b/c I grind my teeth.....but I never wanted to fork out the $300!!! Maybe it would be a good investment, eh?

PLEASE.....if you never do another thing I tell you....get the mouth guard and USE it!

The veneers (caps, basically) are really the only permanent repair that they can do. Unless Jay knocks all my teeth out, and I get dentures.
