If we win this we can take all the Cat 1, 2, and 3 suites and have a real good cruise. Sorry Stacey but we could line up the whole gang it sounds. Your such a good sport.
And everyone go take over Palo one night to toast your performance. ;) :happytv:

I'll tell you now, it really isn't worth it, honest. Save your money. You don't want to see some silly video....really.....

Pam...tell Ashley CONGRATS!! And good luck tomorrow! :cheer2:

We sure got our money's worth with the ball game. The Diamondbacks lost, but it was close and a really good game. It went 13 innings! We just got home.
They played Anaheim, and there were a ton of Angels fans there. I was talking to one lady from Anaheim for a while. Sooo jealous of her for living so close to the Mouse House!!

Going to crash now....... Good night!

Good Morning, Jim! (Gee...never thought about Jared dating Lisa!!)

Good Morning, Irene!!

Hi everyone!
Hope everyone had a good day today.... :)

Rita's party went well. Well, as good as it can get at Chuck E Cheese's! Why she had to pick there is beyond me- but they all had a good time. And this time a ton of "non-RSVPd" people didn't show up. :thumbsup2 (I so hate when that happens!) She did well with her gifts too- so easy to buy for a girly girl princess: that likes makeup (lipgloss and kid nail polish- that's all, swear!), hair clippies and anything Disney princesses. LOL

They took pictures on that little ride that takes pictures when they are sitting in it (anyone know what I'm talking about?) and I saved them. I have a collection now- all the way back from the year 2000. It's so weird to look at them all and see how my kids look as they grew up- from the ride at Chuck E Cheese's. LOL
(the last one was late 2004- it's not like we go everyday! But we did used to go a lot when the kids were younger. I get a headache when we go now. Remember I said I'm getting old. LOL Somehow now what my father said a few years ago- about how he'd not be showing up for parties at CEC anymore- makes a lot of sense. LOL)

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

Pam, good to hear that Ashley had a good day- hope she does well tomorrow too. :)

Good morning everyone. yeah, it's me - up at the crack of dawn. It's 5:25am here in NY. Birds are singing and I can't figure out if it's raining or not. I don't think so for the minute anyway.

Way to go Ashley - keep up the good work. I wish I was as good a swimmer as you.

Amanda - hang in there babe. I too think that guy in the subway was a sign from God saying that things could always be worse.

It's a beautiful thing....I don't have any games to go to today!!!! Waaahhooo!! Yesterday we had to go to a birthday party at the beach and it was intermittentantly raining throughout the day. What a bummer for the mom. There was a large covered gazebo and was the saving grace for that party.

I was talking the over with Augie, the do-over cruise,a nd I don't know if we'll be able to make it. From the thread title, looks like we're doing this in June and not May. AJ will be in the 7th grade and we don't finish school until the end of June and I don't think I could just pull him out for a week before finals. We may have to skip this one. I'll have to talk to a 7th grader and find out the timing. Oh well.....

Good Morning, Irene!!

Glad you enjoyed the game. Friday night Sharon, Lisa, and I went Cubs vs. Dodgers.

We did not make it all the way to the end. Left in the 7th and, of course, the 9th was when the scored the runs.

Oh yea, it was Daytona Cubs vs Vero Beach Dodgers.:rotfl:

And Stacey, I also have never thought about Jared OR ANYONE dating Lisa! :guilty:

I also neglected to to you all in my OP about the experience I had on the day I first noticed my wallet missing. On my 4th trip back to the subway, when I was looking in the trash cans around the subway, I had an interesting experience that still brings me to tears as I typr this. One of the trash cans was at a bus stop. There was a homeless man there who had asked me how my day was going. Normally, I side step unknown people because I work in Downtown Columbus and you can never be to sure about safety. Well on this day, obviously I was distraught. I told him what was going on. He asked if I had been back to Subway, and I told him I was on my way back. When I left Subway again, he asked if I had any luck. I told him no. He looked at as sincere as can be and said "Listen sugar, A nice Christian fellow up the road just gave me $15. I cant give it all to you, but I can give you $5." Here this fellow was with **NOTHING*** absoulutely nothing....and he offered to give me $5!!!!!!To him $5 hurt as much as what I lost hurt me. It touched me so much. I declined and told him I appreciated his offer. I told him it meant a lot to me, but that luckily I had people I could go to for help, and I was thankful for that. I asked his name. He said "JEFF" and that he just moved to Columbus a few months ago and had fallen on hard times. Then he said, I get $$ from the Army once a month, if you still need help on the 1st of the month I can give $100! OMG I almost lost it all over again. I thanked him for his kindess, again declined and told him I had better keep looking for my belongings. He said, " If you change your mind, see those trees up there? about 3 blocks? I have been sleeping under those trees for the past coupla weeks, and that is where I will be on the 1st" ...
Now I dont know if that story touches you all as much as it has me, but if you could keep this kind soul in your prayers I would appreciate it. Everytime I get upset with myself about how much I lost I think about Jeff.
My co worker thinks that was a message from God. I believe she is right. I try to remember this. It is not easy. So sorry to babble on, I jsut thought I would share, because I think of this man with nothing. offering $5 to a stranger when he has nothing. Well I just dont know how to end this so I will stop now. Something to think aobut though eh?

Amanda, this is so touching; brought tears to my eyes too. I believe you had a "Touched By An Angel" encounter with Jeff. Prayers and PD for you both.:tink: pixiedust:

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Irene, Sam should be home by now from his Nekton dive trip. Where are the details?

Last night Sharon and I were talking about diving Nekton and it occured to me that I should have told him to take port. After the night dive nothing is better than a glass of port. I hope he took one of his 5 bottles of port. :cool1:

Jim - he did take port - 2 new bottles, can't drink the Double Scoop stash, now can you?

Some of the pictures are very good...but I must have him help me download the scan and save pictures to get the disc to Mark tomorrow....

He had 2 days of bumpy seas, well, bumpy for me,,,,the video was amazingly calm....

Later...

I guess you don't remember the story about when Matt was with us at WDW last August. I think that was when Matt found out how old Jared actually was. I teased him, "Jared could be dating Lisa one of these days". Matt was truly shocked, "not MY Lisa"!

I don't think I have heard that story before - but that is SOOOO Matt. He thinks he is Lisa's third parent (and always has). He gives her great advice. I only at times wish he would take his own advice. I hate to see when she does start dating YEARS from now. He will be very protectionistic. They do get along great, so I guess that is good. She really misses him right now while he is in Costa Rica. She has been sending him e-mails telling him what she is doing and wishing he was home. I guess this is her preparation for when he goes to college in 2 years.

Good afternoon all. We had another day at the pool and when we did get home, I took a nap. It was wonderful.

Ashley did pretty good. She took a little over 1 second off of the 100 breast stroke and placed 4 and then took almost 2 seconds off the 100 fly and came in 5th. Unfortunately, she didn't take any time off of the 50 back and missed placing by 5 1/hundredths of a second. This was a good first meet back from vacation and all. She only had 2 weeks to get ready from this after the trip. She will be training really hard over the next 2 weeks to get ready for our team's swim meet the week after the 4th. It is a 4 day outdoor swim meet. It is pretty grueling, because it is outside and the temps are usually above 100 degrees.

Maria -- hope it works out that you can go on the next cruise. I am surprised that your kids have to go that late into the summer for school. No telling what our school districts will be doing by then.
