thx. emailing this and all of kevin's suggestions to mike. i think he considered this one (the SD700)....this may renew his interest in it.

U TOP!!!

My biggest complaint with the point and shoots is the shutter lag. When I push the button I want it to take a picture, not sit there and think about taking a picture in a few moments..... We had a Nikon CP 5000 that took fantastic pictures, it was just a pain to use -- even Monica would complain!

Especially after working with a DSLR when the picture is almost instantaneous!

Good morning all! I've been lurking lately. I've been very busy with work. My manager is out of town today; so, I have a breather!

All this talk of smaller cameras makes me want a new one. Our digital is HUGE. It's an Olympus with a 10x optical zoom but it's only 2 Mpix since we bought it in 2000 when Emily was born. We didn't even take it on the cruise. I wish we would have though. It still takes great pictures.

As Laura said, it's HOT in GA! We haven't had any rain since before the cruise. The lawns are definitely crunchy. Thank goodness we have bermuda so it can tolerate the heat a little better than the fescue. I'm not going to complain too much about the heat though. Our humidity has been up but it's nothing like back home in LA.

I'm going to Michael's tonight for a beginner scrapbooking class. When I registered last week, I was the only one signed up. It may turn out to be a 1-on-1, which is great.

Jim, I thought of Matt today. We got an email from a friend that we haven't heard from in YEARS. Seems that he & his wife got a divorce & he's now remarried. He and his new wife are moving to Costa Rica to open a bed & breakfast.

Back to work!

Maria, I have been going to bed early. Getting up at 5:30 and hitting the ground running is killing me!
Except last night, I stayed up too late looking at flights for the Norwegian cruise in December. And I paid for not getting enough sleep all day.:ewok: I was a cranky bear.

Hey...look...I just now saw this one...:butterfly and this one:snail:and this one :stitch2:

Man, I know what you mean. I thought Summer's were supposed to be relaxing?? Getting Ashley to her swim practice in the mornings is beginning to take a toll on me. Today she has her early morning practice, then off to band, then off to a private lesson that I will have to drive back across town to pick her up and get her to and then a swimming stroke session at 5:00 tonight. I am having a hard time with her schedule, not sure how she is doing it. Plus she wanted to go to volleyball camp today and I said NO. Not when she is doing that much swimming in one day.

Angie - I just went to a scrapbooking class too and was the only one there. It was great being 1-on-1. Got a lot of little pointers. Now I just have to find time to "DO" some scrapbooking. hahahahaha

Almost the last day of school. 1/2 day today and tomorrow and Friday is 1 hour to pick up report cards. Gotta get that "state aid" in there. Oh joy..the fun of summer and being camp director at my house. That's OK, summer doesn't last that long anyway.

Hey - we're heading to Myrtle Beach in August. Anyone in the area for a mini-meet? Just wondering.

I'll keep in touch. Gotta go and run some last minute errands before the bus gets back here. Ugh!!!

Oh man, I thought you were serious there for a minute:lmao:

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning Mark and Mary. I finally found my camera but the SD card has been broken by the firemen. House starting to get put back together. Maybe another week or so. Have a great day. Hopefully no more fires.

Hear! Hear!!

With me Olympus camera I use for the underwater shots, THAT is the major reason for "fish butt" picures.

That's what finally made me bite the bullet and get the new DSLR. True, it's bigger, but it does what you want and need with LOTS of options and flexibility! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Yes, we had a fire unfortunately. 4 days after the cruise. My DS21 had a remote control helicopter that the battery exploded on at 3am and set the house on fire. Hopefully we will be back in the house after the reconstruction is finished this week.. just waiting on carpets and furniture. Just a small thing to cause so much damage. Everyone got out okay. We had just finished repainting this spring and all new flooring so now we get more. Just hoping insurance doesn't cancel right here at hurricane season which they are bad about doing. Had only told a few people by PM so you didn't miss anything. Thanks for caring.

Debb --

So sorry to hear about your fire. I am glad you all are safe and hopefully things will get back to normal for you soon. I feel bad that we never got to meet on the cruise, but there were so many that I didn't meet. Good luck with your repairs

Hi everyone

Well I have been busy booking cruises
I finally decided and paid the deposit yesterday on a 30 day Princess cruise leaving Seattle on September 23rd 2007 bound for Sydney and decided to take the kids as I don't think I could leave them for that long :teeth: .

I will be changing my Disney booking for September 1st when the prices come out for 2008 and hopefully we will join you all in June.

Getting the Batmitzvah arrangements finalized and confirmed - Monday was 2 months :teeth: :rolleyes1

MIL arrives Monday for 3 months :sad2: :sad2: and then Saturday we are off to the beach and hopefully I will remember my laptop. My parents and sister decided to join us for the week and my Brother and SIL and Neice may come for a couple of days so luckily I thought ahead and booked a 12 sleeper!! :lmao:

Hopefully I will find time to catch up soon
Happy first day of summer to one and all

Wow you all are still talking alot. LOL I am just now getting back into the grove of things, I am slow I guess.LOL
I just wanted say a Big Thanks :woohoo: :yay: :bounce: :lovestruc to Mary and everyone!! Even though we couldn't talk to much being so crazy with so much going on and things to do during the trip!! Thanks and it was very nice meeting those of you that I did.
And before someone asks.--Daniel is doing well! His lip and all is healing nice and even though we missed the drill and welcome aboard party due to his little accident, he did end up having a GREAT time the rest of the trip!!!
He is asking to go back to the Disney boat!!!
Talk to you again soon
and Have a GREAT day!!!

Guess I had better get going. Even though I got a morning to sleep in a little, this is one of "those" days.....two baseball practices, dance, and work for Jordan.

I'll squeeze my work at the office inbetween.

This is weird......I have papers to fill out for All Stars, have to get the medical form notarized....and they want proof of residency (four different types!) for the league. But....they also want the kid's ORIGINAL birth certificate and two copies of it. I HATE the idea of handing over his original birth certificate. Is Little League baseball really that important, that they need to verify a 12 year old's date of birth...and can't do it with a copy???? Yeah...I'm gonna put my 18 year old in there play against 11 and 12 year olds, just so they can win a trophy. :sad2: :headache: That's just stupid.

Have a good day!

Wow!!! 30 days??? How are you going to pull the kids out of school for that long? :confused3

We need to get together for lunch one day. I mentioned it to Laura too in hopes that she can join us. Work is crazy for me right now, but maybe after the 4th we can schedule something.
