Maria -- unfortunately for us, we can't do it in May. Dale will be graduating from High School and that usually isn't until around May 31. We will be booking for probably 1st week of June, any cruise that is an Eastern

Well, that wouldn't be SO bad....maybe we could do Disney first....

Hmmmm....

Keep us updated!

Hi Would be happy to cruise again in '08, later in the spring the better as far as I'm concerned. I'm happy with what's being tossed around, June Eastern works for me, might just be late enough I can get all the gardening done before we go away.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanna be at the table that has the most fun????? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi everyone!

Just got back from seeing Cars. It's easily the equal of anything Pixar's done up to now, loved it. Good story, good cast and lots of fun caveats in there as usual. One piece of advice, don't leave until they stop running film. This movie isn't over until they stop the projector.

We saw it at Downtown Disney the night it came out. By the time Grandma Lightbulb left us for the day and we got over there, the first movie we could get into was the 10:00. By that time of the day, me sitting in a warm dark theater made me sleepy, but I still must say I liked the movie. We did laugh at a lot of the jokes (especially the ones over the kids' heads!) "He did WHAT in his cup????" :lmao:

I will say that I will NOT see a movie at Downtown Disney again. The theater was horrible. "Stadium seating" to them means that you can see over the other person's head, but NOT over their chair. Nick needed 5 booster seats stacked on top of one another in order to see the whole screen. KT opted just to stretch her neck. Besides that, it was FILTHY!! And not just old cups and popcorn. Gum stuck in cup holders. Goo on the booster seats. Etc. Nasty.

Movie good, theater bad. :)

I have already sent off a message to the webmasters too, hopefully it'll get cleared up soon.

Let me know if you need us to give a certain webmaster a phone call. After all, he did call while we were gone and left us his cell phone number! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I usually just write out a letter stating that we authorize the grandparents to make any medical decisions necessary in our absence, then John and I both sign it. No special wording.

I'll look to see if I have a copy when I log into my computer.

Remember that in the case of emergency, they will treat no matter what. If it's NOT an emergency (ear infection, virus, etc) they'll contact you and get verbal authorization.
Worst case, leave lots of contact numbers and always carry your cell phone.

This is how I have to post from my Treo a lot of the time. I was sooooo irritated last night. I wrote a short trip report (finally!) only to have it EATEN. grumble grumble grumble.......

IF I ever get around to doing a trip report I'll do it in Word first, then copy and paste. Seems like my longest posts always get eaten!

Mark - thanks for the hint for Cars.....We never leave untila fter the credits. Had friends that worked in film...and we would stay to see their name for, as Ducky would say, animating the pixie dust twinkles......

We also stay until the end of the credits. ESPECIALLY for any Disney movie. They are notorious lately for putting in some funnies at the end. Plus we love to see the section titled "Production Babies" and see how long it is. Quite long for Cars!!! And lots of twins! :)

It's me. I'm finally home. Jim, the rain was coming in as we were LEAVING....so it's NOT me that's causing it. In fact, the forcast for your next week is a LOT of rain....and I'm not there to cause it! :)

Cannot catch up now. Waiting on the Cappy's pizza. Will try to catch up later....

Welcome home! Thought you guys might have fallen off the face of the earth!

No, we know its not the OhioMouse family causing the rain... but I'm sure you saw the TV weather people here in FL celebrating the fact that rain was headed this way... what- its only been how many... 5 months... since we've had a measurable rainfall.

Of course, this week of rain is falling (pun intended) on the first week that we are trying the 'kids staying home alone all summer' experiment. They WERE spending the summer at the YMCA summer program again... but after two major safety issues in 2 days, I've decided that they are better off at home alone.

On Thursday, they crammed 72 kids into a 56 passenger bus (Elizabeth had someone sitting on her lap) for their field trip, and on Friday, they took all the kids 9 and up to a playground for the ENTIRE 97 DEGREE DAY (with no extra water, drinks, etc) because there was a swim meet at the Y and they wanted to reduce the number of people there. Elizabeth called me crying, ready to pass out (she does that easily).

It will be interesting to see how many times my phone rings today...

COOL! We didn't make it for that. Athough, after we SAW Cars we were more interested in doing it. :) But alas....out of time. :(

Good morning everyone. I'm awake now and happy to be. There's landscapers in my yard. Yaaahhhooo!!!! I'm very excited to start the work on our yard. That's one of the last things that needs to be done. I'm getting tired of looking out my back slider at the mountains of dirt and weeds, etc. Very exciting.

The sun is finally out. I think Saturday was the first time all week we saw a glimmer of sunlight. Yesterday was just plain chilly. The wind this past weekend was brutal. Nice day today though, I'll take it.

OK - back to laundry. It just keeps multiplying. What's up with that? I told the kids they're going to have to go to school with their underwear on. They didn't think that that was funny.

Chow for now.

You dog you!! Congrats!!! Glad I don't have to pine over the D2X now though........ :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You're going to love it!!

PS: Have fun Maggie!!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Made the mistake of going to Wolf and holding a D2x - What a sweet camera! But, for 1/2 the price the D200 is not very far behind in features and is a great camera! Just the litle I have shot it has been fantastic! After only a couple of hours with it I pulled out the D100 and was amazed at how clunky it felt -- especially the menu system! One other consideration is that I have to change out my flash and external batery system since they are not compatible with the D200.

So my "shopping list" (Yes Mo - once I make the money!) :rolleyes1

1. MB-D200 + 3 extra batteries (Going to use the new batteries for D100 also)
2. SB-800
3. Capture NX
4. Quantum Turbo 2x2 battery with Nikon cord
5. Upgrade Quantum T2 to T2D + iTTL module
6. Nikon 18-200 VR AFS lens
7. Nikon 12-24 AFS lens
8. Upgrade Photoshop (still on ver 7)
9. Find better backpack

Ah, that's cute. I have to admit, Mater was my favorite character. My favorite bit was probably the one at the end, where the fire truck was watching the old Pixar movies.

Nice list!! Ya, you'll need a pocket full for that laundry list. Is the Quantum a flash controller?

I really like the menu system on the D200. Easy to use and is pretty "intuitive" as the saying goes. I'm thinking the MB-D200 grip wold be nice as well.

Congrats again!! :woohoo:
