So, instead of packing, we decide to watch a movie. I figured I'd cross stitch a bit and listen to the movie. Mid movie I decide to check my email. So I leave it unattended. I even LOOKED at the string hanging from the frame, but thought "oh, it's right next to Mike's head....if the cat is bothering it, Mike will notice and shoo him away."

But alas, I'm gone less than 10 minutes and I come back in the living room after I hear Nick yelling that the cat has something.

Sure enough. The dangling string AND the needle are gone. We have searched the cat's path that he took on his escape and we cannot find the needle.

So looks like Mowana is off to the vet tomorrow to get irradiated. Grrrrrrrrr.

Do NOT google "cat swallows needle." You will get page after pageof stories about cats that died, or at the minimum required surgery. Grrrrr again.

I'm so mad at myself.

I recently (sort of) re-posted the packing list. I think it's on page 2962.

I've seen men wearing Crocs. Jay & I saw a guy wearing them in Vegas. But Jay said he thought they looked like they'd be sweaty with all that plastic. Jay wears Teva sandals, and is fine with those, so I didn't push the issue.

I brought out a small rolling suitcase to carryon. It had a small matching duffel inside of it, so I'm going to leave the duffel in it, and just put our toiletries in that rolling carryon. Right now I have all the toiletries divided into each of our bags, but this will lessen some of the weight in those bags....and give me two "empty" bags to bring home!

Yeah, like they'll be empty on the way back.......

It's 3:11am here in NY and I can't sleep. Keep running things through my little pea brain.

All done with packing - for the most part. Just need meds and last minute things. Boys need to pack their backpacks, fold up the garment bag, etc. Tomorrow night is my last night in my own bed for a bit. Yippeee!! I hear the Radisson has new sleep number beds. I can't wait to check one of those out.

Guess I'll parooze the boards until I get sleepy..if I get sleepy.

My kids still need to arrange their carry-ons, too. Jared will bring a backpack, but heaven forbid Jordan and Amber be seen with one! I don't know how they think they're going to haul all their junk........

I love my Sleep Number bed. I should be in it right now.

I had to e-mail instructions for final payment for the September cruise to my TA, and now I'm DOUBLE (Scoop) excited! Our 105 day booking is on Saturday night when we all get home....June 3. Ask me if I plan on getting out of bed on Sunday, June 4!!!

Four more "sleeps" for me.

I'm trying not to think about Friday morning. We have to leave here by 6:30 a.m. to get to the airport. Have to have all us girls spiffied up and out the door.
But...I will need to put clean sheets on the bed for Bill...the Dog-Sitter/Kid Sitter/Employee/Newest Member of My Family........He's going to sleep in Jordan's room. Says sleeping in our room "creeps him out". I guess it would creep me out to have slept in one of my former bosses bedrooms, too.

I'm seriously thinking of letting the girls have our room, and Jay and I going down to the guest house. But then, the girls would stay up yakking all night, and be cranky in the morning. Arrgghhhh What to do???
