5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 10

How exciting that we only have one week until we sail. But that also means that I can officially panic now. I've done remarkably litttle to get ready (our "ready-to-pack" pile is pathetically small), my to-do list is really long, I have way too much to do in the next 6 days. So not only am I know a proud, card-carrying member of the "crud, I didn't lose weight before before the cruise" club, I'm now asking to join the "time to panic and pack" club.

Lots of graduations this year for some reason. We've had 7.

The party we're going to today is for two brothers. The oldest was just married in February. He's graduating from Medical school, and was accepted for his Pediatric Residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital ......going to show him Jordan's skin, I think it's psoriasis. Hey, a new doctor in the family, may as well!
His younger brother is graduating with his bachelor's degree and has been accepted into Law school at the U of A. Can we say "Achievers"!
Their youngest brother works for us while going to college part time. He was the brightest of the bunch, until he suffered a severe head injury in a car accident. He's making good progress, though.
They oldest was just a little guy when I met Jay....seems funny that they are all grown up now.
Jay went to school with their Mom, from Kindergarten all the way through college. They're like our extended family.

Wait a minute - I'm confused. You lived in CT and traveled all the way to Nanuet for drinks? That's not exactly the closest NY town to the CT border. There must've been another reason. Splane yourself.

Never lived in CT - I'm a Jersey girl!! (but don't hold that against me ) Born & raised in Bergen County - great location: across the Hudson from NYC and right by the Rockland County NY border

At noon I want to be sitting in Parate Cay eating shrimp and lots of deserts!!!!

But probably will be watching the "Royality" let onto the ship.

We are busy packing as everyone must be doing today since the boards are really empty.

Everyone has their list to pack. I have mine.

Okaaaay!! That explains it. Thank you. I was wondering cause that's one crazy commute for a drink. Jersey---what exit? Sorry, I couldn't resist. I won't do it again. We're "up the river" a bit. Just South of West Point on the Westchester county side. Love it. Beautiful part of the country, rich in history. And no, I won't hold it against you.

On to packing. Believe it or not, the kids are outside and the house is quiet. Great conditions for concentrating. When you get older, any distraction could be disasterous. Think, think, think....
