First of all...I just wanted to say that we all slept like rocks on our first night on board! I was a little concerned that the rocking may make me sick at night when I wasn't 'busy' doing stuff around the ship. But, man, that rocking just put us all to sleep.

Sunday, Full Day at Sea'

Breakfast today at Topsiders. They had a very nice selection, more than I expected. Little 'minute' steaks to have with the eggs. Nice cereal selection for the kids. And if you're looking for the Mickey waffles, they're over at the other area with the croissants, danish and Krispy Kreme donuts (which are COLD, yuk).

The days at sea were just so relaxing. It is a bit windy up on Deck 10, but if you nab a spot on Deck 9 at the adult pool you're fine. The kids are already loving the lab. They played Pictionary and Say What at Animators Palate and then made digital postcards. :)

Sunday night is formal night. I made sure we all were in the cabin by 4:30 to start getting ready. I ordered the famous All Hands on Deck for the first (but definitely NOT the last) time! We also ordered a six pack of water and a six pack of Diet Coke. We kept refilling the water bottles at the drink station on 9, and since we're not real big soda drinkers we actually had one Diet Coke left in the fridge when we got off.

It was really fun seeing everyone dressed up. Next time though I will get dressed and ready even earlier. The lines for the pictures were very, very long. You basically had to pick just one background and wait in that line. There were a few backgrounds I liked, but we did not want to spend our vacation waiting on lines (this would happen several times during the week).

Our dinner was in Lumiere's. I'm glad we had our formal night in the formal restaurant but the regular menu here didn't thrill me. I ordered the lamb and actually sent it back and asked for the beef (Sasha also brought the duck for us all to share).

After dinner it was off to see Golden Mickeys! What a fun show!! The red carpet interviews are fun...and so different! Loved it. The show is fabulous. Don't miss this one!!

Monday...Day at Sea:

Another lazy, wonderful day. The kids wanted to get to the lab early to do the Goofy Files activity. So I lounged by the adult pool and I think my DH went to hear the ESPN sportscaster's lecture. We picked the kids up for lunch and then it was back to Animator's Palate for them to meet the captain (they came back with all kinds of cool trivia about the ship after this!)

We had our couple's massage at 3:15. We chose the well being massage. The massage itself was heaven. I was literally massaged from head to toe (actually toe to head!). The only problem was that after the massage we got a very hard pressure sales pitch -- to the point where I was getting annoyed. The two masseuses went on and on and on about the lotions they were trying to sell, and how if we didn't buy them right then and there the benefits of our massage would be lost and the toxins in our bodies wouldn't be able to be released or some nonsense. Honestly, if I wanted lotions I'd go visit one of the many spas near us and try different things before spending a couple hundred dollars.

After the massage I went and sat in the sauna for about 10 minutes and then took a nice shower and met my husband out in the waiting area of the spa. We had to go pick up the kids and get ready for dinner -- we were in such "lazy" moods after that massage!! Dinner was at Animator's, the first night is the 'show' and we didn't want to miss it.

I loved the Animator's Palate menu. I think this was my favorite menu (besides Palo) the whole week. I had the squash soup (Sasha brought out another for my son when he saw him sharing mine), and for the entree I had the veal chop! Fabulous!! And of course Sasha brought the canneloni for the table to share. I don't remember dessert, but I'm sure we had a little of everything! We were now "on to" Sasha and his surprises! ;)

We didn't see the Hercules show...we did something else but I can't remember what (maybe a movie?). The next day was St. Maarten so I know we weren't up late.

Tomorrow...St. Maarten!

Thanks for the report and the pictures. My son looked at them and is SO excited about our upcoming cruise. That snake was "scary".

I can't believe I forgot to add the DIS meet!!! We had our DIS meet planned for 3:00 Sunday, Promenade Lounge. :) Although fewer showed than we had hoped, those of us who did meet had a very nice time!! I know I will keep in touch with several of the new friends we made!!

It was funny though, that on such a big ship with so many people, that we all kept running into each other...like ALL the time!! actually not only on the ship, but in the ports, too!

Wow! Great pics!! You verified that Andy from last summer is Assistant cruise director! He was in the pic with your boys. I hope you had fun with him, he is terrific!
