5/15/2011 - Disney Dream 4nt Bahamas - May 15, 2011

My FE arrived today! She did a fabulous job!
I was starting to worry. I placed my order towards the end of March!
Got my Pirate night FE's all bagged up too! Time to move on to the Disney themed gifts. Ugh, I'm running out of time! Still need to make another ring bearer pillow, magnets for our door, and I haven't even STARTED packing yet! I could really use a magic wand.... :wizard:

Did you make the pillows in the shape of mickey's head??
:cutie:

Ugh so much to do. Box of stuff getting shipped to Florida tomorrow - contains our FE gifts, sunscreen, shave gel, aloe vera, plug strip, extension cord and 3 empty duffel bags for the trip home. Everything else will have to be in 3 oz. containers in our carry-ons... still madly shopping online for stuff. Swimsuit for my daughter, laptop tote for me... I am supporting the US economy big time this week.

I feel your pain... I was up until 2:30am last night packing one part of our FE gifts into a box to ship. I was going to ship them all but then realized you can't send food and some of what I'm giving out to the kids contains candy. I had to then unpack all of the kids FE gifts and repack them into boxes to fit in the suitcase. Here in NY it's still been chilly so I haven't gotten my summer clothes out yet.. so I have to do that this weekend. I'm going to start packing tomorrow because I KNOW I'm going to forget something if we wait until the last minute. We're actually leaving on Tuesday to stay a few days in WDW before the cruise, so I feel like I'm packing and planning for two separate trips!! It's exhausting! LOL

Just got the Theater Showings for when we are on board:

Prom
African Cats
Mars Needs Mom
I am #4 (Never heard of this!)
Tron
Nomeo & Juliet

Most of them are in 3D.

Darn, I was hoping they'd play the new Thor movie!! :goodvibes

Darn I was hoping for the new Pirates movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

Yeah, I decided to ship to Universal (we're staying at the Royal Pacific Resort) to arrive the day before we get there. Since I had to ship the sunscreen, I figured it would be easier to ship it to US because we would need it for walking around on Friday, as I don't want to pay the resort cost of a bottle of sunscreen... I'm not even sure I can buy a 3 oz bottle of sunscreen here...

It's almost 90 degrees here today - the kids are already working on their base tans :) Of course, my daughter has outgrown everything from last summer so that we are finding the need to buy alot of summer stuff all at once...

I'm still not halfway there....we've had one crises come up after another lately, and just had to put my precious dog to sleep :sad1:

Joy, Vera Bradly has some pretty totes for your laptop. I got the Metropolitan,

that has a pocket on the inside to slip your laptop (or in my case IPad), and I will SWEAR by their Laptop Portfolio, which is a hardcase laptop carrier

I actually ran this over with my car (Don't ask! :sad2:) and all that happened was a cracked screen

Sorry about your dog. As an animal lover and dog owner myself I know first had how heartbreaking that can be.

Thank you Tammy, he's been my shadow for 10 years, and already it's so quiet in the house, I can hardly stand it. I ordered my DH and DS pizza for dinner, and it was so depressing not to hear Max bark when the doorbell rang. I'm going to miss his compainship so much.

(((Hugs))) to you :sad1:

:flower3: I'm so sorry for the loss of your Max!! They do become one of the family and it is so devastating to lose them. Hopefully the process of packing and getting ready for the cruise will help to be a distraction for you.

My husband has a 23 year old cat that has been declining over the past few weeks - my biggest fear right now is that something will happen to her while we are away, or the day we travel... We have a plan set in place, just in case - with the thinking that if we have the plan, we won't need it... Regardless, the inevitable is approaching quickly - and I can empathize with you!!

I am so sorry for your loss! We had 2 dogs put to sleep in 2009... both at age 17, and the other one in 2006 at age 14. We had them all since they were puppies so it was a HARD transition. It was TOO quiet in the house once the last one was gone, and we hadn't gotten any new dogs because we felt our senior dogs didn't need yapping energetic puppies around.

It took us all of about 2 weeks to decide we needed to get a new dog - even though I had originally though we should wait awhile. The quiet was just too much.

I did order a stylish women's laptop tote... I specifically wanted it to have one of those slots in the back so I can slide it over the handle on the suitcase so I don't have to haul it through the airport. It should be here by Monday :)

We went to Disneyland for a week when our last dog Bobo was on his decline. He held on for us till we got back home, but I spent the last day of my vacation taking him to the vet. It's almost like he knew it was time, but waited for us so he could say goodbye.

UGH okay - NO MORE sad thoughts!! We are ONE WEEK from leaving!!!!!!!

I'm late joining...wish I had found you sooner. We are getting so excited for our 2nd Disney cruise (Wonder-2007) although it is the first time for our youngest DD5.

Here's our info for roll call (the link to the form didn't work for me)
jenmen - Jennifer + DH Eddie, DS14 Ashley, DS10 Kaitlyn, DS5 Taylor - Arlington, TX - 8172 - Main

we decided to use a car service. I seriously doubt my 2 year old is going to sit on a bus with no car seat for 3 hours. Last time just the trip on Magical Express was a nightmare because he didn't want to sit and kept trying to get up.

Does the car service provide a car seat? We are considering using a car service but I don't want to bring my car seat on the cruise. We will have a car because we are driving down but my parents are flying in the night before and I'm not sure we will all fit in the Camry with our luggage.

Most car services do offer car seats however some are free and some charge!
