5/15/2011 - Disney Dream 4nt Bahamas - May 15, 2011

We have finally been assigned a Stateroom! We were in guaranteed status, but are now assigned to a stateroom on Deck 6 Aft. Is anyone else on Deck 6?? Our party is Me, Sonya (41), my partner, Melissa (30) and our son, Chase (2).

We're also on Deck 6 -above the first life boat starboard side. Wanted to stay low and close to midship for our first cruise. I've read that the aft staterooms are nice too. Enjoy!

We just go our room assignment, we had booked our cruise while on the DVC members cruise in Sept. They just assigned us to 9666.. We once had a 666 room at the Marriott in Washington DC... the number just keeps following us..

It's here, It's here!!! The FE I bought from Ebay finally arrived - i'm thrilled with it and cannot wait to hang it next to my stateroom door!!!

Yay!! Grady's mom??

It took just about a month from the day I purchased it and sent her my design choices. Definitely worth the wait!! I was going to attempt making one myself, but debated that by the time I purchased the different fabrics, threads, trimmings - the cost was well worth it, not to mention the time that would have been spent on it.

It is beautifully made!!!

As of today, I am fully obsessed with preparing my FE's!!! I found some really cute and cool stuff - cannot wait to put everything together!!!!

HINT: We are gonna be one FLASHY group!!!!!

HELLLLOOOOO Fellow cruisers!!!!
I know I echo everyone when I say: I can't wait! This will be our first Disney cruise. The cast in this production include my loving husband Marlon (39) who has closed his eyes and opened his wallet to fund this magical dream vacation, myself (38) newbie who will admit that her work is suffering cause all she can think about is DISNEY and my wonderful baby boy (can't call him a baby to his face anymore :sad2:) Cameron (4) who is the smartest, most handsome, caring, loving son a mother could ask for reminds me everyday that we are going to Disney World in May!

We are doing a land and sea vacation. I have never been to Disney World and made sure my parents are feeling the guilt! My husband went when he was younger and has little to no memory of it. Cameron has been multiple times in his dreams! With all this being said we are spending 5 days at the parks and surprising Cameron with the cruise afterwards. No fancy surprise just driving to the port and saying SURPRISE! Cameron has said he wants to swim with the dolphins but since my baby sinks like a rock we decided that the Dolphin encounter at Blue Lagoon will have to do. I gifted my husband with a massage on board for Valentines Day prior to booking and surprise surprise there were not that many options when it was open to us to book. I snagged a 7:00 for the Castaway Cay day and we are Early diners so it looks like that evening we will have to eat else where.

I am also excited about the FE. I consider myself pretty crafty and hope that I can deliver something that will be Dis worthy! I don't sew so looking on Ebay for the actual FE. Cameron is going to love giving gifts as well as receiving a few!

Thanks for letting me ramble and oh yeah.....:disrocks:

Check when you get on board as they do not release all the dining/ spa/ excursions slots for online booking :)

Welcome aboard!!! If you haven't done so already, make sure to visit the first post in this thread and submit all your info so you can be included in the FE and be in the know about any meet and greets.

I'm sure you are all going to LOVE WDW & your cruise!!

Thanks for that nugget of knowledge Tigger2on! I wouldn't have looked into changing it once we were onboard.

Here's another question: I've completed my online check- in and chose a 10:30 arrival time to the port. What time should we leave WDW to get to the port and parked by that time. Also what time should we expect to actually board the ship?

Thanks !!!!!!

Joy - have been crazy busy with work, so I apologize for not writing sooner......

THANKS SOOOO MUCH for the PDF format link for the cruise graphic!! :worship: It worked perfectly!!! Making magnets for my family and printing a page with the graphic for the scrapbook I will be doing after we get home.

What are we down to....46 days, I think!!! Oh my....just can't wait!!! :yay:

Thanks, again, Joy - you're the best!!

Hey everyone. DW and I joined this thread a few weeks back. We originally had a booked the Wonder for a MR cruise this coming December, but we got anxious and booked this cruise. We're gonna move the Dec cruise to next year and change it to Alaska.

I bought a FE on eBay and it should be here soon. The other FE we had is Christmas themed, and not personalized with out names. But it's a good FE anyway.

We had a 5A GTY room until just yesterday. When I checked the site, it showed we didn't get upgraded, and still had a Deck9 5A cabin... 9548. WooHoo...

Wow, under 45 days now.... can't wait to see the Dream.

Tracey-
Would you mind directing me to the link that shows the graphics?? I so want to print somethings for our door.
thanks
Karen

I got creative today... I love the look of the nautical flags, and thought how cool it would be to make a magnet of some sort incorporating those flags...

This is what I came up with using my print shop program:

I am just itching to put together my FE's!!!

I have DCL FEVER!!! Just booked one of the NYC 2 night weekend getaway sailings - never thought I would be so excited about a trip 462 days out... Super stoked to sail out of NYC!!!! Hoping the pixie dust I collect on our upcoming sailing will be enough to sustain me to 2012!!!
