It was my first... I never would have dreamed a year ago that I could run 2 blocks... let alone 13.1 miles. It was an awesome experience.

I really hope to do it again next year as well... did you go with the family or make it a girl trip? There were 7 of us in a DVC villa at Animal Kingdom. What a blast!

My parents and sister went down to be our cheerleaders, but we had a group of girls running. Around mile 6-7 I was thinking maybe this will be a one time event, but as soon as I crossed the finish line that changed and we are doing it again next year!

We have finally been assigned a Stateroom! We were in guaranteed status, but are now assigned to a stateroom on Deck 6 Aft. Is anyone else on Deck 6?? Our party is Me, Sonya (41), my partner, Melissa (30) and our son, Chase (2).

Palo, only because Shanda didn't tell me we HAD a choice! Maybe I should check into that....

Nice to meet you! Nope, we are on Deck 10. I've got to stay as close to the top as possible! I like to stay WAY above the water line! I have this completely irrational "Titanic" fear.

Please check the fish extender exchange list in post #1 and make sure you are listed if you want to be, and not listed if you aren't participating... I ran into a few discrepancies in checking between lists, so I want to make sure we're not including/excluding anyone before we finalize the list next month.

I need some more ideas for magnets! I'd like to totally cover that baby!! I found the thread with the ears for the porthole on the doors. Those are just way too cute! Also, thought about hanging my mickey pomander on a magnetic, metal hook after our ceremony. Then, I can enjoy it for the rest of the cruise!

Thank you for putting this together! My DH and I love to cruise but this is our first one on DCL and first with our DDs (Gia 4 1/2 and Sophia 20 months)! After reading all of your helpful suggestions and comments, we have totally picked the right vacation. How cool is it that you can "meet" some of your fellow travelers before you even leave the house? I can't wait to see who else joins the thread! And how cute are the FEs?? I have to admit I had to search a while to find out what they were all about.. I am now hooked. I have been on EBay and have the cutest family FE on its way. Now to brain storm on some unique FE gifties.

Looking forward to keeping up with how everyone's planning is going.

Does he play Pokemon? I think there is something where they can link up together with their Dsi's via wi-fi... My son is hoping to get the new 3D DSi for his birthday... we'll see....

Of course, my son never left the Edge on our last cruise till they kicked him out at closing, so not sure he's even going to be interested in his Nintendo...

Pokemon crazy, yes!!! Harrison has the DSiXL, with absolutely no chance of me buying him the new 3D version. I have already told him that if he wants it, he has to save up his own money to buy it.

I am certain that he has the wifi set up on his DS, just not sure myself how it all works with connecting... I'm sure he knows...

My boys are also DSi fanatics. They both just had birthdays this month. They are exactly 2yrs 7days apart.
Matthew (3/12), Nicholas (3/19), and Myself (3/29)!! March is a CRAZY month for us!
I've always wanted to go to WDW during that month and stay for like 3 weeks so we could just celebrate everyone's birthday all at once! Poor DH feels left out since his bday is in September.
Anyway, they got the "Lego Battles" game as a bday gift and have already won. How exactly do you beat an entire game in less than 1 week?? And I don't even let them play more than an hr a day!

I got a new job which is great, but I have been traveling and will be traveling almost up to the date we leave for the cruise. I am looking more forward to the vacation now than ever, to have that time with my family. I need to get working on my FE!!! Getting nervous that I won't finish them in time. Need to arrange for my dining plan for our WDW portion of the trip. So much to do so little time, but I am ready to be on the boat.

Yeah, I think Nick got through the new Pokemon in a day or two... not much long term entertainment value there! The newest Lego Star Wars just came out yesterday... that's next on the wish list for my son!
