We are up and excited to go to Pixar weekend today. The kids are eating cereal and milk - they slept pretty hard last night. Our hope/goal today is to run in to some Pixar characters that we usually don't get to see. The downsides are these. It seems like most of the special characters are in world showcase, that means they won't be out until after 11. The forecast today is high of 90 with 50% chance of T-stroms. So there's that. Also, I'm betting its going to be a lot like a star wars weekend, when they have extra characters out nobody is really good about telling you when they will be out. So it is hard to judge about getting from point A to point B. I heard yesterday the lines were crazy long. On the one hand, weekend lines will be a lot longer at Epcot. On the other hand, I'm hoping some of the hard-core autograph seekers came out yesterday and the lines will at least be a wash out. Maybe we should go over and see Mickey and his Pals early before world showcase opens. Well, we have two days and no other big plans, so hopefully we'll catch them all.

all good. characters have times.

They have a character map with times just for this weekend.

there area couple of exceptions to it, in that some lines, especially in the mill. pav. have different "sets" for example - Lotso and Mr. potatohead are one set, the next set is just lotso. So you may get in line for certain characters and it be different when you get to the front. Overall though this is a really well put together event with clear signage and so on. Great character opportunities.

It was a beautiful morning!

We started at the international gateway, but the world showcase wasn't open yet so we went to future world first. we went to pixie hollow first. The fairies weren't coming out until 9:30, so we let the children play in the playground a while and then it was just a short wait to see Tinker Bell and Terrance. The kids had a ball in the playground, they had it mostly to themselves except for some anoles and bunnies.

Then it was about a quarter to ten or so and so we went over to the character connection. It was a nice short wait for this spot - still about 25 minutes, but this will get so bad soon in the summer. Plus it was nice and cool since inside. The morning was just starting to heat up enough to start to notice it. Saw Micky first-

Now it was about time for world showcase to open. We stopped at the other playground a while, then headed over to the bridge for the rope drop. It wasn't quite TSM, but there was a little bit of Remy mania. Basically everybody waiting there was for Remy. There was another larger group waiting at the mill. pav. the rumor was going around Wall E would be there. We went for the rats.

They are also doing little books where you can get cars stickers at the kidcot stops and get a cars button when you fill the book., so the kids started that. It wasn't every country, just France, Japan, USA, Italy., world showcase, and UK.

Our next stop was around Japan.

And the USA. Honestly Bullseye was sort of the hit of that.

And the kidcot stop in Italy for the cars sticker-

and the stop in Japan.

We had lunch in France and rode the boat in Mexico, got the sticker on the way around, then stopped at mill. vill. They put on the show there. It was kicking by now. We figured we'd come back here in the morning since we went the other day today. We stayed long enough to see Mr. Potato Head and Lotso.

And to finish the sticker books to UK kidcot shop, which is of course right by Pooh and Tigger.

At this point it was about time for the 2:00 rain storm. Turned out it was a doozy today. We almost made it back to boardwalk without being caught, but it caught us between the boat and the hotel. Didn't get it too bad though. It is mostly over though now and we are waiting for the pool to open. You know, you have to wait a while after the lightening. So that's next.

after swimming I think some supper and maybe some boardwalk games if little miss sissy over there can maintain some good and quiet and calm behavior until the pool opens.

Orange and Osceola still under severe T-storm warning. The kids aren't so keen on that storm stuff after the Tornadoes we had in Chattanooga. We're just kind of taking it easy.

We ordered pizza. It finally quit raining around 6:30-7:00, we went down to the boardwalk area. The games there are kind of poor for younger kids. They are clearly trying to theme them to old style games. There is a "lobster toss" where you hammer a lever to try to flip lobsters in the pot, that was too hard for our kids. Our son could hit the baseball toss, not our daughter. The basketball was too big for both. Both of them had a turn to win on the water squirt thing, so everybody got a prize. We also watched the juggler's show, that was good.

Going back to see more pixar weekend today.

Thanks for the Pixar updates! You all look like you are having a great time.

PS--Did Lotso smell like strawberries? :)

we are having a great time, thanks. Lotso *does* smell like strawberries, but the surprising thing is Mr. Potato Head smells like cucumbers. :confused3
