5:00 Candlelight Processional--Dark enough?

We're not getting the CP package. Just standing in line and crossing our fingers. I would think the line for the 5:00 show is the shortest, because it's not dark yet when the show starts. (I think sunset is at 5:45.) I ask myself, "Why would anyone want to see a candlelight show when there's no need for candles since it's still light out?" But then, maybe it's dark-ish where the show is. I don't know....

So do any of you know? If we go to the 5:00 show, will be be watching a show in daylight and the "candlelight atmosphere" will be for nothing?

We did the 5:00 show last year and decided this year to do the 8:15 show. It just wasn't dark enough to get the full effect IMO. I made my CP dinner package reservation this morning.

If you want it dark for the CANDLELIGHT Processional, then you will need to do a later one. We were VERY disappointed the year we did the 5 pm show.

That is good to know, as I was debating on which one to do as well, and since we are getting to the parks around 11AM that morning, that gives me time to rest should I need it

My family has done it twice, both at the 5pm time slot. I found the show to be very enjoyable. I suppose if the candles are the important part, then go for a later show. I'm cheap. I go for the 5 pm show because I can dine cheaper.

We were at the 8 pm show and it was pretty. I was surprised how much it was like a religious mass. Inspirational songs and a story read by the speaker of the day. I can see how daylight can diminish the visual quality. IMO the hype was more than the experience delivered.

We stood in line a half hour before start time and got great seats. I would not eat an expensive dinner just to get good seats for it. I liked the Osborne lights a lot more, I'm not a religious person.
