Is there enough to do at the Boardwalk for a 4yr old at night? Friends were thinking of checking it out one evening, but only if it's worthwhile. Thoughts?

I have had this situation with a 4 YO of my own in 2004. There's really not much for little ones here, except for a nice meal at one of the restaurants. The dance hall wouldn't be much of a place for kids, and I believe Jelly Rolls is only for those 18 and older. I could be wrong there, but it wouldn't be much fun for kids. Other than that, there are mostly just restaurants, gift shops, and those bike rentals.

Thanks! Ya, I think you're right. Renting the bike might be fun, but I don't think it's worth it (for a 4yr old) to make a special trip there. Thanks again.

I have had quite the opposite experience at the Boardwalk with my 4 year old in 2004. She loved it. We saw jugglers there, face painters, we rented the bikes and rode around the lake...we went to the icecream place...there was music playing and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. We also just walked around the hotel itself...I know you can't compare it to a park but for a nice change it could be fun. It is only as fun as you make it. We loved the whole atmosphere there that this time....in 7 days we will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn! Whatever you decide to do have fun!
