4th of July

Are the fireworks any different on this day? I know that the parks are going to be packed, but I really want to see the fireworks if they are different. What would be the least busiest park on this day?

the fireworks are different. it's something you can't really explain. i always watch the MK show. fireworks come from EVERYWHERE...all over the MK from the GF, PR, CR...it's out of control and amazing!

I also remember reading somewhere that Sorcery in the Sky will be at MGM that night. I guess this particular show is rare.

Now I don't know which one to go to....

I agree with wdarling, the fireworks are pretty good. The white, red and blue all over the skies.

sorcery in the sky at mgm is only shown on new years and 4th of july...i was lucky enough to see it for both july4th 2003 and nye 2004...it was a great show...be aware that you will need to find a good viewing area for sorcery in the sky in advance of the show...

4th of July at MK can't be beat - fireworks surround you and the crowd is fantastic!

I know that 2 years ago, we were at WDW for 4th of July--I remember they were launching fireworks from all of the different lands (we weren't in the park but remember a CM telling us something to this effect) and also from that little island (or a barge if there isn't an island) in front of the lagoon. Also, the Californian Grill actually is only available for a special (and pricey) price fixe meal--would have cost us about as much as to eat at Victoria and Albert's but with that awesome view of the fireworks. We actually watched under the monorail track in front of MK...let's just say, aside from the noise--I could have read a book as it was so bright.

Get there early that day if you are not staying on sight--Magic Kingdom has been known to reach capacity (for off-site and day guests in any case).

You mentioned to find good seats for Sorcerey in MGM, any suggestions? Have you also seen the MK fireworks on the 4th? If so, which one would you choose?
