I am going to spend my first 4th of July at WDW. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do that week? I have plenty of my own ideas...just wondering if someone might have any other ideas.

hey I went to the parks on 4th of July - okay most of the day was at Epcot - it is pretty big so even those crowds didn't over helm it.

that night I went to the MK - Mk was open until 2am that evening. we went in after the fireworks - saw the second parade and had a blast. most of the guests were leaving when we were arriving.

other things - swimming, love WDW pools, shopping - both in the resort and outlet areas, reading a book (I know boring for most but I love 'em), people watching, walking around the area - most of Disney property is just lovely.

My sis and i will be there June 30 to July 7...I have been making a few plans for that week..so far we have decided to spend the 4th at the pool and then we made res for the Luau at the Poly...should be fun...We are also going to Discovery Cove ( I love that place) on the 2nd..But other than that no solid plans.:yay:

In my experience and I have been going during the 4th for the last 8 years and I usually stay out the parks on the 4th just due to the park is so packed.. I have gone to the transportation center and watched the MK fireworks, not a lot of people over there and you can see the fireworks great.. We usually go downtown Disney and hang out there after the MK fireworks..

I'm heading the world on the 30th with my kids and my parents (to help with the kids). We're planning on the Fantasmic package at MGM on the 4th. They usually have an excellent fireworks show and I can imagine that on the 4th it will be just amazing. Will you be heading to any clubs during your stay? I plan to be solo on the evening of the 30th.

I'm getting to Disney on the 4th. I'm planning on going to Dinner and watching the fireworks.

My DW and I are doing the Poly Dinner Show that night and either hitting Downtown Disney or just staying on the Poly beach. Can't wait!

BTW - Why did they close Haunted Mansion for July 4th:scared1: ?!?!?!?
