4th of July - what is happening?

We're coming home July 3 - 8th! Yeah! Waitlist came through!! What is going on to celebrate the fourth? We have never been to Disney in the summer - we are so excited!!!

We're coming in on July 2nd, and so far haven't been able to find any special events. Is anyone else going over the 4th??? i've heard the place will be absolutely packed! Is there any thing special going on?

the fireworks on the 4th at the MK are surpose to be great!!! We aren't staying at a DVC resort - my niece didn't want to - but at the Polynesian - so I don't think we will even try to go to the parks until July 5. What about you guys?

You will absolutely LOVE the Poly. I love walking around to the Wedding Pavillion and GF in the early morning... so peaceful. The water mouseboats are fun in the morning too.

We are waitlisted at BWV, VWL, BCV... so far no luck, so we're staying at AKL (124.00/night) We will probably head to MK first thing on the 4th. We were there in 1999 and had a great time... lots of red/white/blue. You will have a great place to view the fireworks from the Poly beach... far away from the crowds. I just read another thread which said the GF had their own fireworks one year!!! We wanted to stay in a monorail resort to be close, but not in MK when the fireworks went off, but unless the waitlist comes through, we'll be at AKL. From what I've heard, Epcot will be less crowded. We'll probably see the fireworks there. They are supposed to have a patriotic fireworks show after Illuminations. Crowded or not, I'm glad we're going! ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!!

So excited! We were booked at OKW for the 3rd and 4th, and then BWV for the 5th through 8th. We just received a phone call last Thursday and now we are in at the BCV for the whole time JUly 3 - 8th! Yippee! We are so excited!!!!! Storm Along Bay rocks! The next favorite place for our kids is the Poly's pool - the Volcano slide is so fast! We hope that we can find something fun for the fourth, I am going to bring my own red/white/blue stuff to have our own patriotic picnic for sure! We cannot wait!!!

I'm already getting out our RW+B T-shirts. I know it's early, but I can't wait. We're getting all of our patriotic pins together too. The Disney Store just came out with 2 new ones, so I ordered them to pur on our (you guessed it) RW+B ball caps! I;'m glad my husband puts up with my excitement, and outfits!
