4th of July (I know it's early, but...)

I know it's early, but we are going to WDW over the 4th. We saw fireworks at MGM and at Epcot last year. For anyone that's seen the MK and Epcot, are the MK's fireworks better than Epcot's?

The 4th of July fireworks at MK are full perimeter fireworks. If you've already done Epcot then I'd definetly do the MK as well. These are spectacular.

We are trying to go to the least crowded park on July 4th. Would you suggest MGM? I know that AK would be the best bet but it closes early and we want to spend the evening in a park. We are not interested in the festivities anyway. I realize that every park will be packed but I'm looking for the lesser of all the evils. Help!

If you are looking for the least crowded park, I would go to Epcot. It is the largest and handles crowds better. Two years ago MGM was packed on the 4th. You could also start out at MGM, and then take the boat/walk over to Epcot when the crowds get too big.

Thank you for the advice. I think that might be a good plan. Any other suggestions? It will be our first full day there and I was kind of bummed about not spending it in either MK or Epcot. I just thought they would be the busiest but what you are saying makes sense.

I would also suggest Epcot for 4th of July! The fireworks show was SPECTACULAR!!!! This past July, they did an extra salute to all our military - and the fireworks were great!!! We've been a couple of times for July 4th, and its definitely our favorite park for that day (handles the crowds better)!!!

The fireworks in Epcot on the 4th are without a doubt the best. They left us speechless!

I have to agree with those who say Epcot.
We were there for the fourth this year and didn't think it was too terribly crowded. The worst line we had was for Test Track. With a fastpass it took us more than an hour because the ride kept shutting down due to lightning. They actually closed the standby line to any more people. It was nuts.
Everything else was fine and our fireworks viewing spot was uncrowded.
We were able to see MGM's from where we waited.
The special 4th fireworks were spectacular.

I heard on these boards that MK didn't have as good of a show this year. Maybe someone will come along and report on that.
