4th of July Fireworks - Viewing Outside Parks?

We will be arriving on July 4 and therefore do not plan on going to a park that day. Is there anywhere I can take the kids to see fireworks for the 4th of July that isn't inside a park but still on property? I won't have a car but can use Disney transportation.

The only thing I can think of, is outside the Contemporary there is a balcony and you can see fireworks from there.
Or the boat landing at MK, people line up there to see the fireworks in the evening.
Or you can just wait and go to the MK the next day...and see incredible fireworks close up..

the MK fireworks are spectacular on the 4th - don't miss them as they are a double show unlike any other I've seen except on NYE. The boat dock at the MK is the best spot from outside the park to view these, you can also see them from anywhere around the lagoon but on the dock they look as if you are surrounded.
If you don't want to go that far, other good places are GF beach, FW dock and contemporary (but it is only a short walk from there to the MK dock)

Thanks for the responses. Can I clairfy. So I would take the bus from POR to the MK and get off and then walk down to the boat dock or are you talking about the boat dock at the TTC? Sorry...just trying to plan ahead.

we watched the MK fireworks from the beach at the Poly last month. We took the monorail from Epcot (where we had dinner) to the TTC and then switched over to the monorial for the Poly. They have beach chairs set up -- get there early to snag one! -- and the music is piped in with speakers all around. We had the best views! Not sure what the crowd level would be on the 4th but it's certainly more managable than being in the park!
