About what time can I expect fireworks to be shown on 4th of July? I am trying to figure out what time to make a PS for dinner.

Seem like Epcot was 10 and MGM was 9 last year.

Last year, Epcot was at 10:00pm, MGM was 9:00pm, where we watched them from, and I think MK was 9:30 or 10:00pm

MK was 9pm, Epcot was 10. We watched MK from Narcoossee's porch ( after having dinner there), then drove back to BC and walked to International Gateway and watched Epcot. Not sure about MGM.

On another note, MGM was empty until 1pm. THen we left for the pool. We rode RnR 3X in a row first thing.

Thanks DeDixie for the tip about MGM....we have gone over the 4th for the past few years, we have just avoided all parks figuring they will all be too crowded. Now I think we will head over to MGM first thing, ride what we want, then relax the rest of the day and watch the MK fireworks either from the Contemporary roof or Poly beach. We enjoy eating dinner at Chef Mickey's on that night, that way we get some charactor magic without the crowds!

IndyDisneyFan -- Your plan sounds great! I would call 90 days out for your PS -- not exactly at 7 am, but that will ensure you to get the time you want.

We had such a great 4th last year, I was so pleased with the crowds, fireworks, our dinner, etc. We had such a perfect day.

Have fun!!

Does anyone know if AK is crowded on the 4th. I imagine it wouldn't be because they have no fireworks display. Does MGM have fireworks on the 4th in addtion to Fantasmic?

AK was empty on the fourth...it is the only park without a firework show for the holiday....(but it's just our little secret...we'd like to keep it empty for 2005!!!):teeth:

Hi, kinda new around here and I'd like to know what PS means. As I type this I wonder if it means preferred seating??

We're going to be there on the 4th as well. (7/3-7/10) and I'm kinda wondering where the best place to be is at. We'll have a 10 year old and a 9 year old as well.

Thanks

PS mean Priority Seating for a restaurant. Kind of like a reservation. When you arrive with a PS, you are to get the next available table - within 30 minutes I think. I know when we checked in to Narcossee's on the 4th there were LOTS of people trying to get reservations for that night and they were booked.
Any of the restuarants that offer a good Fireworks view will book fast.

Where is the best place to be? We're not sure if we'd want Epcot or MK?

With that being said---- what restaurants are close?

Can you tell I'm a newbie? We're open to any ideas that will promise a great view and even greater memories!

Melissa -- Last year we made it to both fireworks. We had PS at 6:40 for Narcoossee's at the Grand FLoridian. After dinner we waited about 20 min for fireworks, which we watched from the porch of the restaurant. Only patrons that night could watch from there. We had driven over from the BC, so we drove back and caught the Epcot fireworks from the International Gateway entrance.

Our Day

MGM till about 1pm
Swimming at pool in afternoon
dinner at Narcoossee's at 6:40 PS
MK fireworks from porch of restaurant 9pm
Ecpot fw from International Gateway - 10pm

It was a perfect day, and we went home the next am - boo hoo
