We'll be heading down to HH this year for the 4th of July. What kind of special activities do they plan for the 4th? Thanks!

Two more months - can't wait!!:earsboy: :earsboy:

There is a family barbecue, lots of games/activities planned at the resort and Beach House and, of course, a great fireworks display.

We've been there for the 4th the past several years and have always found the events to be great.

Enjoy!

We were there last year on the 4th and it was a lot of fun. There are games all day at the beach house pool and music at the pool at the resort later in the evening before the fireworks. We stayed in the pool and watched the fireworks right above us which was great. I thought it was a perfect place to spend the 4th. This year we'll be at WDW so we'll be able to compare!

There are also fireworks every Tuesday evening in July for the SHelter Cove festival. We got to see 2 sets of fireworks last year.

Thanks for the info! You have both mentioned games ... Are these geared toward little kids or the whole family (including 12 & 13 year old boys!)? :earsboy:

The games are supposed to be family games, but as the parent of two teenagers, I can tell you from experience that they probably won't want to participate.

They may, however, do an informal "pickup" water volleyball or water basketball game at the beach house pool. If they go to Big Murgies den, they will be able to find other teens to play pool with, too. That seems to be the informal gathering place. ;)
