4th of July 2021- Park Pass Reservations Tips?

We’ll be visiting WDW for the week of the 4th of July (yes this is intentional and yes I know it’ll be hot!) and I’m debating what days to reserve what park.

In the off chance they do anything for the 4th- would you pick Magic Kingdom or Epcot? Right now I have Mk reserved for the 4th because that seemed most likely? Any thoughts? We’ve never gone anywhere on vacation for the 4th before so I’m excited... even if there’s no fireworks.

We’ve got park hoppers with the water park option so I’ve also debated water park during the day and MK later. Thoughts? Tips from past experiences?

If I had to guess, I'd say it is more likely for there to be an evening show at Epcot than Magic Kingdom. More room to spread out. And Harmonious could very well be ready by then at EP . . .

I was at the MK for July 4th in 2019. Things started getting wild at around 5ish. Not sure how all of that will play out this year with capacity restrictions and I would be shocked if they do fireworks, but hey you never know!

If I was going again I would choose Epcot just because there's room to move around.

It's just impossible to guess what it will be like this year.

In a normal year they would do 4th of July stuff at both MK and Epcot on the 3rd and the 4th. I am placing my bet (park pass) on the MK but I can see why people might be more hopeful for Epcot. I would say go with what fits your plan right now and watch for any updates and be flexible.

There could be reservations required for waterparks

I’ve been wondering this, I bet that will be the case! If they do I really hope they allow you to still hold a Park Pass reservation too for the same day.. I was thinking on some days we’d rope drop and take off before noon and head there to cool down.

I just read that they aren’t requiring reservations for water parks but Disney stated that could change at any time.
