Hi Everyone,

Can you help please. This will be our first time in Florida at this time of year.

What are the crowds like in the parksup to and on the 4th July, and what is the build up like.
What would you suggest to do, and what would you avoid doing??

Any other info would be great.
Thank you

Hi Michelle :) ...... although I haven't been on this date, I do know that MK is the park to avoid on July 4th as it is bursting at the seams however, the Universal parks were apparently fine last years as was Epcot... take a look at this thread, there are mixed opinions but I suspect that the more negative posts were from people who were in the MK on the 4th ;

Fourth July

Hi Michelle

We have been twice around the 4th July and always stay away from the parks. (tried one year but park was at full capacity by 10.30 am)

We go shopping as they have a massive sale and everything is reduced. We usually go to the Florida Mall which puts tables outside and they call it a sidewalk sale where most items are 60-80% off and its not the 'orrible stuff either.

We have also been to a beach for the afternoon and in the evening saw some fireworks set off.

Hi Squitty

We will also be there on 4th July......and I was wondering the same thing........and I thing I had read other posts about how busy the parks were in the 4th. I was wondering though about the days before and after the 4th. Were they just as busy??

I had friends in Orlando in July who commented on the 4th Juky sales..........so I was already looking forward to them..:cool:

Thank you for all your replies.
I dont think we will venture into MK.
Looks like we'll be shopping then at the Florida Mall...well somebody has to do it:)

Maleficent, we fly home on the 5th July but we will get some last minute shopping in as the flight home is not till 7:30pm

Ummm, WDW on July 4th? Well, if you like wall-to-wall people, hour-long ride waits, and overflowing toliets, then do the parks. ;) My advice would be to make like a Yank and go to the mall instead--great sales. :p
