May I also suggest that since we all got one this year (well, mostly all), we should do a tie dye day again next year???? There were some really sweet looking shirts and I find I am kind of diggin the tie dye, baby :hippie: I even wore my Mickey tie dye since I came home

I wore my long sleeved one last night!! Love it!!!

And I can wear pink, just don't do it very often. I'm thinking pink with a brown Mickey on it...

And definitely a Mickey shirt! Heck, I think all of mine are Mickey shirts anyways!!

Well...........since you mention it.......... uh, well, see..... I was kinda sorta hoping that maybe, just maybe we could have a pink shirt day? Can we? Huh? Huh? Can we mom, puuuhhhleeeeeze?? I'll be good, I swear.
And there are many shades of pink......we don't all have to wear a baby pastel pink. There's hot pink for hot Divas!

Okay, okay. I know it was mentioned before and shot down pretty quick, so it probably won't happen this time either, but ya can't blame a girl for trying.... ;)
I wasn't thrilled about the tie-dye at first but I ordered one from Cassie and loved it! I would try pink too!

What if we also have a Mickey t-shirt day? Any color as long as Mickey is prominently featured on the shirt?

or your favorite Character day? (I have this Little Green Men shirt I custom-made at WDW that I'd love to wear!)

Both of these ideas are great!

Me too - think pink :lovestruc

No teasin, for reals! Pink is cute.

I would go for a HOT pink shirt. :lovestruc Pastels just wash me out.

And I have to confess, the first thing I did when I got home was toss that tie dye shirt.

Wow, who knew there were so many cool with pink. For some reason I thought we'd talked about it before, (LONG before) and it was met with horror. :scared1: :rotfl:

IF (I said IF) we went with a pink day, then between that, a possible Mickey day, a possible favorite character day, and then Melody's design one day, we'd have four tees and be just about done. Throw in one more color, either a new one, or one we've liked in the past such as lime green or red, and we'd be set.

Not saying we are. Just saying we could/would be IF all those were agreed upon. :thumbsup2

And doing a favorite character and Mickey tee day would be easy and probably cheap since I imagine most of us already have such tees in our closets.

Something to think about. :goodvibes

I could see you in hot pink. Bright colors look good on you. That red shirt you have on (in your pic on the first page) with the flowers in the background is so pretty. It just pops, and you look great.

Too cute (I love the little green men and I saw one shirt - but it was for little kids and I thought that not even creative stretching would make it work for me :sad2:) How did you custom make one??? (see, I'm totally trying to steal an idea but be sneaky about it..... shhhhhh)

Wouldn't have to be plain at all. Could be any color or shade of pink. In fact, the shirt could be white and have DIVA written across it in pink sparkles or something. Much like on the tye die day, not everyone wore shirts that were full on dyed, but rather white with a tie dye patch in the middle or corner.

OOOH, sparkles and pink :woohoo: I'm off to Michael's this afternoon! (Wait, is that too early????)

Theresa's turning all love child on us. :hippie: Groovy man. (is that what they say??) :rotfl:

I knew the mention of bling would catch your eye by the way! I was waiting for that. LOL

Groovy, baby :hippie: What you tryin to tell me with this talk of the bling??? I can't help it, I like shiny things

You kicked butt on the tie dye - and pink with a brown Mickey on it is awesome :thumbsup2

I like hot pink too - not much for pastels. But throwing out the tie dye??? :scared1: :scared1:

That's what I was going for with the tie dye - reduce, reuse, recycle!!!

I plan on having a funnel cake at 8:15pm Friday night of the trip...anyone want to join me? ;) popcorn::

Ooooh, that sounds nice.....but I think I'll be over at the DCA, drink in hand, staking out a fantastic spot to watch World of Color. :goodvibes

Oh wait, that won't be necessary because Callie and I will be able to watch WOC every night from our DVC room at the Grand Californian that we're splurging on. :rotfl:

I know the shirt in kids' sizes you're talking about. I wanted it too but couldn't think of a way to make it work.

In Florida DTD there is a store where you can design your own t-shirt. They print it up and you pick it up an hour later. Hanes t-shirts. Different colors. Lots of different designs and you can put your name on them. Don't know why they don't have the store in Calif. DTD--they have plenty of empty space!

Wow, that actually sounds like a great store to have in Calif. DTD. I think it would be very popular. :thumbsup2

Hmmmmmm, if only I had the money to start such a store in DTD.....I totally would!

I can't imagine how much it would be to lease the space though. :scared1:

I can talk about food, I'm so hungry.

A non Disney day sounds good, there's a lot to do in the area and those that do want to go to the parks can.

I would love to go to Hollywood and try out the Disney's Soda Fountain and Studio Store. I haven't been able to make it over there. I wouldn't mind going to Universal Studios but I'm a ride chicken so I probably wouldn't go on the big scary rides like Jurassic Park. I think I can handle the Mummy....maybe.

Food sounds yummy! Nothing sweet though...

So no more caramel corn? ;)

Afternoon gals!

Love all the trip talk. Even though it's so far away it is fun and makes it exciting to think about since with Shane being laid off so much I don't know if ANY of our other plans are going to pan out. We wanted to take the girls to DL for a few days this summer for our "family" vacation this year but I don't know now if that is going to happen and mom has gotten them ALL excited about this cruise in Oct but she did that LAST year with DC and then bailed so I am not counting on it. Granted WE still went but I can't do that this year so I am not figuring on it. I hope that at least some of these mini meets happen (and that I can afford those at least) cuz I think they would be a blast. I KNOW I can prob do a CA one cuz I can drive and that is no biggie. Tina, Becci, any other CA gals we need to start figuring this out????

I just hope that I can do the seattle one too cuz I would LOVE it!

Anyway I don't mind a pink shirt. I think I may even have one LOL. I know I have one that is pinkish with mickey on it and I have several mickey shirts so I could def do that and then Tink is my other fav and I KNOW I have shirts with her on it so I like all those ideas!!

And hey Capri I am with you on the drink idea!! I STILL have not done the cove bar!!! I think that would be a GREAT spot to watch WOC maybe? Although who knows how they are going to work that once it is open but I am sure too we are going to work on a day to see that as a group. Of course there will prob also be an offering of a dinner or dessert or something and not sure if that will be on the schedule for those that want to do that.

I LOVE the idea of an offsite day as well and if the march dates win I know mom and I are DEF doing that option. I don't want to pay for the block out if there is nothing going on. I could go for univ OR the soda fountain. Have done both and both are lots of fun! I know they have a bus that goes to universal every day. I have seen it leave over by the Holiday Inn on Manchester so we would just need to find out where it stops. I guarantee it prob has pickups over on harbor or by the Disney hotels somewhere!!

Heather you are such the little devil today!! Love it! ;)

Anyway I had to go back to bed cuz after taking 2 stupid Maxalt my headache was going nowhere. I had to use an ice pack and a cold cloth on my eyes and I feel a "little" better but I got up to eat (chicken noodle soup) and thought I would check in. Now I prob have to stay up cuz I don't want to miss the girls.

Have fun chatting and see ya later!! :)

I think you could handle the Mummy. It's not any worse than Space Mountain, except it has a launch start. The launch is not even close to being as fast as Screamin' over California. It's a much easier, slower launch, and then the actual ride is just some fun turns and dips in the dark with images from the Mummy flying by. No loops, or big drops or anything scary. I would hold your hand if you want. :thumbsup2

Jurrassic Park isn't really scary either. The drop, which is the only thrill on the ride, didn't scare me like the drop on Splash.....and I didn't get that tummy tickle that I would normally get. I don't know why. Maybe because it's in the dark and it's not as steep? :confused3

I also love the little green men and wanted the exact same shirt. In disneyland they used to have a place where you could design your own tee but they took it out and i think they only due stitching now. :confused3

Jurrasic Park is actually not that bad but man ohh man does Mummy scare me. I had my eyes closed the whole time. I cant remeber if the whole thing was inside one room or what.

You are a glutton for punishment Beth! :lmao: I say you put someone else in charge of the fights, I mean discussions about shirt colors. Then you can sit back and relax. popcorn::

We could have a vote about who's going to be in charge of shirt colors! :thumbsup2

In all seriousness, I think shirt colors and all of that should wait a while. I mean we do have over a year to discuss, and I'd hate to see any other decision appear rushed. Of course we could vote about when to have the vote to decide who will help us decide what shirt colors to wear. :rotfl2:

Gosh, I'm feeling snarky today...maybe I should go back into my corner....

I'll vote for that! ;)

It's shinning here too but my back yard is partially flooded. My neighbor drained his pool and left the hose on his side patio so all the water came into my yard, geez you'd think he'd use a long enough hose so the water would run down his driveway to the street. What didn't go into my yard went into my front yard and down MY driveway.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about that. Hmm...I'm sure your neighbor is feeling quite inadaquate without a longer hose?!

Pink is good! I'm all for pink...in fact my attempt at fulfilling the tye die t-shirt this year was a hot pink - mildly tie die - Mickey t-shirt. I could wear that t-shirt three times and have three days covered. Wow! :cool1: I'm saving money now!
