4th floor AKL,any reviews??

When I made my reservations waaaay back in June for next summer,I needed a guanteed nonsmoking area so my reservations say "4th floor,nonsmoking guanteed(medical)".
Any reviews on this floor?

We stayed on the 4th floor last year and loved it!!!! I would not hesitate to stay there again. Although people say the view from the lower floors is better, I found that we could see more from the 4th.

I don't think our view will be very impressive,I booked a standard room(we don't spend much time in our room),but I do like being away from the hubbub of lower floors. I think we'd love this place no matter where our room was! Thanks so much for your review!!

Just an FYI and you may already be aware...

The main floor of AKL is the 3rd floor (I believe).......the entrance, lobby and gift shop. Jiko and Boma are on the 1st flr. It is set up very much like the WL so you do not enter on the 1st but 3rd.

i stayed at akl in april, had requested a standard room not on the 3rd floor which is the lobby. i was upgraded to pool view on the 4th floor and it was great there was an elevator close by if i wanted to use to go to 1st floor restaurants or pool, or a quick run down 1 flight of stairs to get to lobby. enjoy your trip, it is a beautiful resort.
