4th FastPass and beyond at Animal Kingdom

We usually start with 9-10, 10-11, and 11-12. For MK, if we get to the park at opening we will hit a couple of rides SB and then use our first FP towards the end of the 1st hour. Then we can use FP2 at the beginning of that window. Once that is used we will move up our 3rd FP and start refreshing from there. Tiered parks or if we don't show up at RD then we will start with our FP's right away.

What rides do you try to book for your 9/10/11 FP? What are your favorite rides to hit at rope drop?

In the post where we did 16 FP's we simply worked our way around the park getting FP's for the rides in the area that we were in. We don't mind jumping around for good rides but on that trip we were just trying to do everything rather than ride top rides over and over. On that day 7DMT was our 8th FP and Space Mountain was our 14th.

For RD at MK we typically like to do BTM and Splash.

I just watched a FP video on YouTube which was pretty darn good and then I read the comments. Someone there mentioned how she and her family could only get ONE extra FP a day. That was the way it was. :sad2: I was like....what?? I quickly mentioned you and Klayfish as "friends" who have gotten at one point, 11 FPs in a day! :teeth:

The known record is 21 FPs for a group of 2 at MK.

We generally get 10-12 per day for a group of 5, but we rarely start much before 11 am.

I haven't been to Disney World in 23 years. AK is all new to me and I'm planning a crazy last-minute trip. I booked my flight last week and my park ticket only last night and my first park day is Monday! I'm just getting into the whole Fastpass+ selection and planning right now. It's a lot to catch up since i'm used to Disneyland's MaxPass. I will be solo for most of the days so I'm planning to take advantage of single rider lines where I can (wish there were more of them!) I'm trying to see as much as I can because I'm not sure when I'll even get back to WDW since Disneyland is so much closer and I have a bigger family of 2 adults and 4 kiddos which makes flying from Spokane, WA to Orlando so pricey. I am seriously hoping to be able to score some extra FPs and get on the must-do headliners like FOP, SDD, and 7DMT. I am not seeing really any of them right now but will keep checking and modifying as I get closer. It's like a slot machine. Keep pressing it and hoping for a winner!

We don't even rope drop, because with the FP+ system it's really not necessary anymore. We get up at 4am at home, so getting up early on vacation is...well...not vacation. We usually hit the parks around 10am, give or take. We use FP+ almost exclusively, except for attractions that simply don't need them. I truly don't count, but best guess is that in a typical 10am-4pm park day, we will use between 6-10 FP+ depending on how hard we're trying...plus the ones we don't FP+ and time for lunch. There are always variations, but that's the general idea.

I majorly lucked out last week on March 1. I managed to pick up a 4th fastpass at 5:20 for FoP @ 6:15 for a party of 2, pretty much all the fastpasses were out for the day yet we lucked out which was fantastic. We waited in line for 2 hours at opening to ride FoP and it was a favourite so it was awesome to ride at the end of our day as well.
