48 hours until we know!!

Good morning all!
Not sleeping.........so tired.......so obsessed.......need coffee..........
NEED THE DATES AND PRICES!!!!

Just think, once we finally get the info, we have 2 weeks to wait to book!!!

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Poohmom- have a blast! I hope the news comes before you leave!!

Well, it is exactly as we expected. That seems kind of boring! And, I am sorry for those of you that don't want to do a Mexico cruise. But, the repo cruises sound like a BLAST!!!

Have a great day, now I can go pack! :scared1:

Poohmom :hippie:

Good morning everyone! :surfweb: You guys are too funny,

First of all, I can't believe that I have become sucked into this! :hourglass I don't think we even have any plans to cruise during summer 2008. We don't usually travel in the summer as cold, icy wintery Wisconsin is just perfect during those months.

Second, I have only been a member here for a week or so, and I can't believe how much I already feel like I know some people. I love it! :grouphug:

Third, this is my last chance to try to find out what is going on as we are LEAVING for Florida this afternoon!!!! :dance3:  :cheer2:

We will be staying at the Boardwalk for 2 nights and spending tomorrow at EPCOT to celebrate my son's 15th birthday!!! :bday:

THEN, we will be off to the Eastern Cruise. I can't wait! :woohoo:

Anyway, I hope we hear something this morning as I need to start packing, I think my husband is freaking  because we have had an insane week and I only have one suitcase packed for the seven of us. I hope I pack stuff for the kids that they like!!! Wish me some pixie dust to get packed on time and for safe travels!

Poohmom :hippie:

pixiedust: to you, and have a MAGIC-AL trip! I'm sure you will get to hear something on the ship.

This is how we get hooked - "well, that is interesting...Oh, she is fun to talk to... they are going the same time as us..." It is a great group of people to obsess over all things Disney with - our friends just don't understand!

I'm quoting the particulars here...

May save some swap space on your hard drive to not have another window open... <chuckles>

Crash,

Do you see any double dip cruises also what is this alternative western cruise??

Thanks for the detailed details Captaincrash!!

Good morning everyone! Are we happy campers or what??

The one positive about the announcement being delayed a day is that we only have to wait 13 days until we can book :cheer2:

Q: Was I the only one that thought the repo's were 14 nights? 15 is awesome...just means my poor kids will fly home that night (7 hr flight post cruise) and start school the very next day!

Where in the world is Cartegena and how doooo you pronounce it?

Lisa, Or anyone,

How cool is CC in November or December???

I mean late Nov. like Thanksgiving or Christmas...
Ummm, you were just there in November...

Uhhh... you guys are so FUNNY!!! Well AWOL... techncally your reply should have been ... "Ummmm, we were just there...". <chuckles> OK.... So, Let's get specifific (deliberately misspelled, ;) ). How about a particular time of day... as we can probably look it up on an almanac ... but NOT for CC. Maybe we could ask DCL guest services - or look up a cruise meet thread for this past November to find folks who sailed at the same exact time of interest to us. AND... might I add... the most influential variable IMHO is the "H" potential... which is very low to zero... and the most common factor is simply rain potential as opposed to heat levels (or lack of). But even in the rain - I think CC is fun.

I sort of think though that it is the Caribbean... and as such it is always near tropical sort of. I was on Maui in late December and it was just nice ... especially compared to chilly California (- I know - some are snickering about THEIR chilly weather elsewhere - but it was actually very cold in CA at that time - like the last 3-4 nites where we lost about a billion dollars of our crops /citrus/ to frost damage - check your grocery prices on oranges as they're about to triple in price if the news media is correct).

Crash,

Do you see any double dip cruises also what is this alternative western cruise??

And Kristen, on the double dip... that's actually something my spouse is really interested in doing as we really enjoy CC. And no - we did not see any double dips yet (rats!) - I looked last nite - and as for an alternative western... I see nothing there either. Unless you want to consider the Panama Canal voyages as Western alternatives... :rolleyes1

I think I read somewhere that they had not mentioned anything about the Wonder schedule. And I thought that the Wonder just did 3 and 4 day voyages - excepting the special southerns they ran last year. Well... someone "in the know" is probably going to correct me within the hour on that. OK.

At any rate.... traditional Double dips hit CC twice... and true western alternatives will go west but with changes from the ordinary Magic westerns. I don't recall having noticed if or what Disney does with those... as you may recall... my family is not a huge fan of the western carib... but we have done a few at one time or another. Now - if they were to do something to offer truly off the beaten path western ports - we would be interested. What ports??? I don't know.... something I've never heard of sounds good to me if I can dig up a nice web page on it!

So - I hope this answers your queries K. If not - it's cuz I really don't "kno it all".... not that I ever claimed to.... <chuckles>

Thanks Crash,

Since I really want a double dip .. I may be forced to look into the western alternative......

This is all very well but when will we know the pricing for all the categories ?

David

Thanks Crash,

Since I really want a double dip .. I may be forced to look into the western alternative......

Well...

... you could book a 3 + 4 niter on the Wonder... that would make a double dip with Bermuda and CC?!? Or ... you could book 2 seven niters to cover an eastern and a western port rotation. OR... yup, you huessed it... a severn niter and a Panama canal crossing. Come to think of it - I could too. <chuckles> I'll have to mention / remind Alicia aout that.

We, however are looking hard at the upcoming PC voyages as an unusual port rotation which holds interest for us. We have been to Cartegenia (scary place - I thought) or... was it Caracas??? I'll have to ask my spouse. At any rate, we are thrilled with the PC prospects... and we will probably try for one or the other - coming or going. I think going from LA will be less heavily sold as a lot of folks will ave their kids in school... so that will be easier to snag lower fares ... both for the cruise and the air. Plus it uses a holiday. Our daughter will be in 1st grade - but does fairly well so we have no fear at being left at any academic disadvantage - plus the school will permit it on an occasional basis.

Please reconsider the PC voyages... they draw out the most colorful DIS enthusiasts - and that is likely to make it THE voyages of the year to attend! Sure to be a barrel of monkeys for laughs and chuckles! No one in particular in mind as I refer to the monkeys.... :lmao:

Cheers!

The five nighter seems too short to me...

I really am thinking of the alternative cruise so I can get the double dip in!!!!!!!
