Hello- As I sit here in my office and look at at the snow and read the temp which is right now.....-25....windchill -60. I am finalizing everything. Please let me know if I am missing anything....


1. Packing- we have a 2BR at SSR so packing light. Wearing jeans, bringing 1 pair each of shorts and capris, 2 short sleeve, 2 long sleeve, 2 sweatshirts, rain jacket. Kids pretty much the same. DH is a last minute packer. All toiletries purchased and in their quart bags.

Each kid has a backpack with jammies, swim suit as we get in at 5 and may not get our luggage till later from ME.

3. DDP and ADR's -done
4.Tourning Plans- Printed
5. Airline Tix- will print in the morning.
6. Golf Ressies-made
7. Garden Grocer order confirmed.

Am I missing anything?

We are ALMOST in the same boat! We have to wait until Tuesday to leave, but I just sent my box down for the Owner's Locker, and we hope to get by with just a few clothes in one carry on plus our DD's carry on for her stuff.

It's -28 here in Lakeville this morning, with a -50 windchill. DH's car didn't start, so I had to venture out to take him to the ride share lot. I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS STUFF!

I am way too calm....maybe because I have done this whole packing thing before and know what to expect?? I am praying for good weather here and in Indy ( our connection) on Saturday.

What flight are you on that transfers in Indy???? We are on NWA leaving early Tuesday morning with a direct flight that gets in before noon. I think we are planning to do MK on Wednesday, but we are coming back to AKV (our home for the first part of this trip) for dinner at Jiko on Wednesday night with friends from here who are also DVC members and staying at OKW next week. They arrive on Saturday, so you might be going at the same time!

I think it is flight 530? We bought in Sept and connecting was considerably cheaper than nonstop so we said,what the heck! Leaves here at 10:15 gets to Indy EST at 1 then we are out again at 2 getting to Orlando at 4. Could be worse....the kids LOVE the plane rides so we shall live through it!

We have highs in the 50's today and in the mid 60's for the weekend. It's supposed to get down into the 30's at night for the next few days and we've been under a freeze/frost warning. 50's and 60's might sound warm to you right now, but you might want to bring a heavy jacket. I'm from the north and I'm still freezing in the evenings. There is another front coming through next week and the temps are supposed to dip again.

Sounds great. Have a wonderful trip. I have a friend who lives in MN and she emails me about every day and when she tells me how cold it is there I can't believe it. The great thing for them..............They are also heading to FL and WDW for a few days in about a week. I am sure you MN folks love to escape that weather. Have fun!!!!

We have the camera and rain jackets for everybody. Each kid has a heavy sweatjacket which will be enough. These kids are gonna want to swim if it is 50. Just saw the latest forecast, was hoping for some low 70's toward the end of the week for Blizzard Beach. We shall see!

We'll be there swimming! Not so bad while in the heated pools, a little rough getting out though!! It's going to be nice getting out of Cleveland, our kids had yesterday and today off school because of these single digit temps and minus 30 wind chills! brrrr - - C'mon Sunday! We'll be at SSR!

Another MN here leaving for Disney on Sunday. We are staying at OKW for 12 days. My car thermometer said -32 and -31 the last two mornings, Cars started but sure didn't want to break down in this weather. We be at Boma's Wednesday evening. My wife is a retired English teacher and this is her first extended winter vacation. When we get back only 6 weeks left of winter so that's not too bad. Leaving daughter at work. First year teacher at Cenntennial High School in Lino Lakes. She took over for her mother. Her school did not close for the weather. Maybe see you there.

Yeah, we live in Lakeville, where the temperature dipped to -35 this morning, and that isn't windchill...That's ACTUAL temperature. The windchill was in the -50 something range. CAN'T WAIT FOR OUR TRIP DOWN ON TUESDAY!
