Do you need exact change for the tolls from MCO to Disney via 417?

Just to clarify above, there are two tolls between MCO and Disney on 417. The mainline tolls mentioned above are $1.50 each. You do not require exact change, but if you have it, there is a lane that gets you thru a little quicker. The main Disney exit does not have a toll, but there are many exits on 417 that do. Those do require exact change (if you don't have it, you can take an envelope and mail it in). Some "exits" also have entrance tolls...

Here's a link to a list of the entrances/exits and their tolls (I usually use Exit 6 for Disney):

Get a roll of quarters from the bank. Get some ones from the bank. Have it all in your carryon. Get it all out when you choose your rental car. Break the quarter roll before starting the rental car and have it easily accessible or in the passenger's hands ready to hand to you as you slow to stop at the toll booth. EASY.

Do NOT go through airport security with your roll of quarters in your carryon... or you will have an extra 10 minutes of searches related to that heavy metal gun barrel like thing. Yes, I know this from direct experience....

Always use exit 6 because it doesn't have an extra toll. The signage will make you believe you should go one more exit. If you do you will pay an extra unnecessary toll. Exit 6 takes you straight into the world and you can get anywhere easily.

Like Bumbershoot said, have some quarters in your car. My GPS put me on the 417 on a trip to Walmart from my hotel. By the time I realized it, it was too late. Luckily I had enough change on me. Ever since then I bring a roll of quarters. If you are worried about getting through security with the quarters, open the roll and put them in a zip lock bag.

Get a snack size Baggie, toss the change in it. Makes it easier at the Airport Security Screener check point and it's convenient for your copilot.
