I need budget friendly ideas for an overnight trip for my wife's 40th B-day in November. Looking specifically at November 17 weekend

We are a family of 4 (Me, Wife, DD 9 and DD11).
We are a tight-knit family so want all 4 of us to go.
Want it to be within 3 hours of Pittsburgh.
Want it to be budget-friendly

Looking at Stonewall Resort (she mentioned that), but we've done that a couple of times so want to go somewhere different.

We've done Columbus (and actually will be going there Labor Day).
Don't think kids would enjoy Gettysburg.
Baltimore/D.C. is a little further than I want to go.
Not looking for indoor water parks or anything of that nature. Something my wife would enjoy.

Any suggestions???

Have you been to the Ohiopyle area? It would be too cold to raft but you may be able to do some hiking. And Fallingwater is a really cool place to go.

You could drive east and go to Lancaster. If you celebrate Christmas, I think Hersheypark will be decorated by that weekend. It is milder here in November than in Pittsburgh. :)

Or you could go West and visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. I took my family to the USS Cod which is on Lake Erie and everyone loved it...from 7 on up! That doesn't always happen, lol.

Tomorrow we are taking our last day trip of the summer and we are going to visit Gravity Hill near Bedford and then the Flight 93 Memorial.

Happy planning! I love planning getaways.
