401 days 'till Disney!!! But who's counting?!?! 07/18

What airport are you looking to fly into? LAX or John Wayne? John Wayne is closer to Disneyland.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

:hug:Aww Thanks! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!
I'm not sure which one we going to go with, but I didn't know that John Wayne was closer! I'll definately have to look at that one harder!! Thanks for the info!:thumbsup2

Hey everyone!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of my lovely friends on here!! I hope you guys had a great one, and ate lots of turkey and pie!! Personally, my favorite part is the stuffing!! And let me tell you, I sure did eat some and it was good! I always love to spend time with my family around the holidays! It just makes me realize how truly blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life!
IMG_2734.jpg

That’s us today at Thanksgiving dinner! I look a little rough, but what are ya going to do?! lol

Gobble
Gobble. (and this is from my DH, Ben! Lol)
I just thought I would share a few pictures from what I have been up to the last week!!

We went to a family wedding this last weekend, and we had a blast!!
On our way there, we stopped at Wal-Mart to get some snacks for the road (it was a 6 hour trip) and let’s just say I shouldn’t have walked by the $.97 aisle! Hahaha I ended up getting a Perry the Platypus spiral and note pad! I also got Disney Princess pens!! I was so excited when I found those!! They were all $.97 a piece!:yay:
IMG_2695.jpg

IMG_2694.jpg

Once we finally got on the road, I saw a car from Florida!! I was so excited! Haha I was like, “ I bet they are so happy they live so close to Disney World!!”:wizard: Ben thought I was crazy, but I was super excited! And what do you do when you are excited about something?? Take pictures, of course!
IMG_2693.jpg

The wedding was at a little Czech town here in Texas, named West. It was such a fun time! They party alllllll day!! The wedding started at 1:30pm and the reception wasn’t over until about 1:00am!! It was really fun just to immerse ourselves in the culture and spend time with DH’s side of the family! Before the wedding, we went shopping at outlet stores they had around town, and it was awesome!! They had a Bath and Bodyworks outlet…and let’s just say, that it’s a good thing they don’t have one of those around my house!! Ben would have to physically remove me from there daily!
They have a place called the “Czech Stop” there that sells Czech pastries and breads etc… And DH and I stopped in there for a few minutes before we went to the reception. OMG everything looked sooooo good! I didn’t get to take a picture of everything in there, but Ben and I did get a loaf of Jalapeno cheddar bread from there! There were so many more things we wanted to try, but we didn’t want to spend all of our money!! Haha :rotfl:
IMG_2698.jpg

(sorry the pic. Isn’t the greatest, but you can get the general idea of what it looks like! And you can see my Texas Rangers decal! Haha Go Rangers!....oh, that reminds me…when we were in Dallas… I saw a car that had a Mickey head decal and those Mickey ear family decals!! I was sooo excited!)
And the bread:
IMG_2697.jpg

Yumm!
Anywho, Ben and I are used to going to bed at like 9:00pm 10:00 at the latest…so we left the reception pretty early and hit the hay!
The next day (Sunday) I was even more excited about, than the wedding! I was going to get to spend the WHOLE day alone with my hubby in Dallas! We hardly ever get to spend time alone together, so we were excited!
We left the hotel pretty early because Dallas was about an hour away from our hotel, and we wanted to make it to a Church we have been wanting to go to whenever we were in the area! We made the hour and a half journey to Church, and it was really awesome! We really enjoyed trying out a different Church than we go to every week! It was great!
IMG_2700.jpg

After Church, we went and ate at a place I have been wanting to go to for like two years… Genghis Grill!!!! We don’t have one of this close to us, and I was SO EXCITED to go! If you have never been, it’s such an awesome place! You are handed a bowl, and then you proceed to go to a buffet type line, and fill it with your choice of meat, seasonings, vegetables, and sauce. Then you hand it over to the chefs and tell them which starch you want (noodles, rice, pasta) with it and then they cook it for you! OMG it’s sooooo good! I got shrimp, salt & pepper, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, green beans, mushrooms, broccoli, ginger citrus sauce, and udon noodles!! I love Asian food, and this is definitely now one of my favorite restaurants!:goodvibes
genghis.jpg

After Genghis Grill, we went to the closest thing to Disney World that I can go to until Oct. 2012… The Disney Store!!!!! I was so excited to go! We don’t have one close to where we live, so I had meticulously planned this trip so that we could go there!! I was so proud of myself that I spent as little as I did there!! Haha I got a t-shirt, Ben got a t-shirt, and I joined in the Vinylmation club and bought my first one!! It took me a while to pick which Vinylmation I wanted, but since the new Muppets movie out, I decided to get a Muppet Vinylmation!! I could have bought soooo much more at that store, but I know it’s getting closer to Christmas time and who knows what DH has up his sleeve! Haha
I had the greatest interaction with a CM that worked there! I was looking at a Disneyland travel book by the register, and she asked me if I was going to DL, and I told her no, but I was going to Disney World in Oct. 2012. Well, guess what?! She’s going too! The same time we are going, AND she is staying at POP too! I thought that was cool! I told Ben if I see her at DW, I’m going to ask her if she remembers me from a year ago at the Disney Store!! Hahahaha:rotfl2:
Anyway, here are pictures of what I got at the store!! I also wanted to show you guys how cute the bags are! I didn’t get a picture of Ben’s shirt, but I love it! It had Donald on it and says, “Suddenly, Donald realized he never wears pants!” hahaha Gotta love it!
IMG_2709.jpg

IMG_2710.jpg

IMG_2707.jpg

And here we are enjoying our day together! I just love him!
IMG_2705.jpg

Then we came home!
We had a great weekend, and I enjoyed every second I got to spend time with my best friend!:lovestruc
Well, that’s all I’ve got for today!! I hope you all have a great weekend, and I will be around probably tomorrow to reply to all of you, my friends, and actually post a Disneymoon update!:)
Have a great day, and God Bless!

:hug:Aww Thanks! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!
I'm not sure which one we going to go with, but I didn't know that John Wayne was closer! I'll definately have to look at that one harder!! Thanks for the info!:thumbsup2

You're welcome! :goodvibes LAX is about a 45 minute ride from DL; John Wayne is around 20 minutes. Plus SNA is much smaller and easier to get around. Make sure you take a picture with the giant John Wayne statue if you fly there. :rotfl:

Your trip to Dallas sounds like fun! I love the Disney store. Everytime we go to the mall I drag Kris in there and look around.

What is with the vinylmation trend? Exactly what is it? I don't get the big deal. :confused3

Jalapeno cheddar bread. Yum!

That's so awesome that there is really a John Wayne statue there!!:rotfl2: If we go, we'll definately have to take a picture with it!! :thumbsup2

I know, the Disney Store is legit! I think I circled the whole store like 4 times!:rotfl: Ben was like, okay can we go now?! hahaha

I'm not exactly sure what the whole Vinylmation thing is truly about, but I remember seeing them at DW when we went if Feb. and having absolutely no idea what they were. Then I read about them on here, and found out that people collect and trade them, and saw some pretty cute ones! So I decided to get one and see which one I got! I'm not sure if I'll actually start trading or anything (that can be pricy) but it was fun to get one! I think Ben kind of got a kick out of it. He said we would have to buy more...so I might have created a monster!:rotfl: I think I would like to collect pins more then Vinylmation, because they take up less space!

And the bread was wondermous!popcorn::

Hey everyone!! It’s Monday! I hope everyone has a great week this week!
It’s getting closer to Christmas time and I’ve almost got all of my shopping done!! I’m super excited about that! I only have to get like 3 more things, and I’m done!
Sorry I haven’t replied or updated you guys on my disneymoon lately! Photobucket has been a little finicky with me lately, so that has put a damper on my being able to update as much as I want!!
So, I received a PIN in my email the other day. I was just pricing various trips to DW as I usually do (it’s a fun pastime for me! Haha) and they sent me an e-mail telling me how they were excited I was thinking about booking a vacation at DW; then they proceeded to give me a PIN to use. I was wondering, and hoping you guys could shed some light on this…..could I apply that PIN to my current trip? Or is it just for the trip I was pricing? ( I was pricing one for Feb.2012) That would be wonderful if I could just use it for my Oct. trip!!!
Anyways, I think it’s time I actually update my disneymoon!

CH. 6 In which I fall in love with AK!
Due to my obsessive planning before we left for our Disney trip, I had decided that on this day we would try out Animal Kingdom! I had times, shows, rides all picked out and had times for each! This lasted for about 1 hour after we entered the park; then we noticed the crowds were pretty low, so we kind of winged it from there, and we had a BLAST!! So, I’m getting a little ahead of myself…this is us getting ready for the day!! (We were still so tired…as you can see!)
167-2.jpg

This may be the time in the TR that you can tell I wasn’t a DISer at the time, and I didn’t take notes…but please stick with me! Haha
We went down to the cafeteria at ASMU and grabbed some breakfast! I’m pretty sure Ben got an omelet, with potatoes and juice. I got yogurt and an apple! Can’t really go wrong with those, and Ben liked his breakfast as well! We tried to get to the food court by 7:30 every morning to avoid the crowds, and we were pretty successful every time!
We, then, went to the bus stop, waited for about five minutes and hopped on the arriving bus! The bus ride wasn’t long at all, and before we knew it, we were driving up to the AK bus stops! I was so excited about going to this park! I didn’t really know what to expect with this one.
Here are a couple of pictures of us before we went into the park:

171-2.jpg

172-1.jpg

Oh, man writing this makes me miss this so much!
I had read that it’s good to ride the safari in the morning to avoid long waits and the animals are more active in the morning; so that’s where we started off!
177.jpg

179.jpg

So pretty!
176.jpg

182-1.jpg

I had done extensive research, but I still wasn’t quite sure how it would be. Well, let me tell you…I LOVE IT! The atmosphere is so beautiful! You truly forget you are in DW, and feel like you are in a completely different land! It is so gorgeous, and again, the themeing is impeccable!
Safari time!!
The ride was pretty much a walk on!! And I was so excited to see the animals! First off, I absolutely love how it makes you feel like you are in a real live African safari! It was so awesome! And the music they played in the vehicles was awesome! I didn’t know it then, but I think it’s so awesome that they song is the Lord’s Prayer in Swahili!! It just makes it that much more awesome!
A lot of the animals weren’t really really active, but I did enjoy seeing what we did! We didn’t get ideal seats in the vehicle, but I tried to get as good of pictures as I could!
184.jpg

Rhinos!
186.jpg

188.jpg

194.jpg

Cool tree!
204.jpg

I really like that picture!
206.jpg

Elephant!
211.jpg

216.jpg

So, I know they aren’t the greatest pictures, and I have a lot more, but it gives you an idea of what I saw! Ben and I LOVED the safari!! We only went once this trip, but we will definitely go back in October! I love the fact that they are so close to you, and you feel like you are really in the wild! It was a great experience that I will never forget!
After the awesome safari, we decided to walk one of the trails that is close to the safari…I think it’s the Pangani? Whatever it was, it was super interesting and I liked reading about the different animals and just soaking in the atmosphere!
We saw the gorillas from far off, at first! It’s so fun to watch how to move and what they do! I thought this picture was really pretty!
222.jpg

Then we saw some giraffe skulls:
225.jpg

BIG FROG:
226.jpg

Fish!
231.jpg

238.jpg

Then we got to see these guys! They really interested me!
242.jpg

Gorillas up close!
249.jpg

250.jpg

After this trail, we decided to walk through the park and take in the sights for a bit! I can honestly say, that I could stay hours in that park just looking at the details. There is just so much to look at and to take in! It’s beautiful and inspiring!
That’s all I have for tonight! Photobucket is driving me INSANE! But I will leave you with this picture of us in front of the beautiful tree!

Up Next: More AK!!<3

I can only spend a half day in AK. I don't feel like there is enough to do! I'm sure that will change when they build Avatarland. That being said, I do love KS and Everest. Kris doesn't even want to go back to AK this trip but I told him we have to. I like to see the animals and I can't skip Everest! Plus we're staying at the hotel. It's like, a law that we go.

I got a PIN code the other day but it was for dates ending in March. You could always call Disney and ask them when it's good for.

There isn't a whole lot to do in AK, but I loove the shows there and the details! I think it is a very "take in the little things" park!" But I totally see what you mean by there not being a lot to do there!
Yes, KS and Everest are awesome! Everest became one of our favorite rides on the trip!:thumbsup2
I didn't ride the rapids because it was tooooo cold,so I'm not sure how that ride is, but if it's warm enough in Oct we will find out!

Haha and yes, I would feel the same way if I was staying in AKL!! The AK police would hunt you down if you didn't go the the park!:rotfl:

Hey guys!! I just wanted to drop a line to you all and say I hope you guys had a great week!:yay:

It's Friday, so I'm pretty pumped about it!
We are supposed to get snow this weekend, so I hope the roads don't get bad! We have to go to Church and I want to go see the Muppets, and that's 45 mins away from our house, so hopefully we will be able to go!

So, I was going to do an update on my disneymoon this morning, but yester day morning I spilled coffee on my laptop, and my killed my mouse pad and my period button! The rest of it works thank the Good Lord!!:yay: And thankfully I already had a wireless mouse, so I can still use it, but I hate writing long things without the use of a period key! haha:rotfl:

With that being said, I will update tonight or this weekend sometime when I upload my pictures to photobucket and then I'll hop on Ben's computer and keep on trucking with this PTR!!:)

Have a great day, and God bless!:goodvibes

I'm usually happy that it's Friday but I have to work tomorrow so boo :( I took a personal day next week though so I only have a four day week :woohoo:

Bad news about your computer! Maybe if you let it dry out, the button will work again. That sometimes happens. The spacebar on my old laptop used to stick so I'd be typing and things would come out like

this.

Have a good weekend! Hope you get to see the Muppets!

Boo to having to work on a weekend, but YAY to having a four day week next week!!:yay: Those are always so fun!!

That's pretty dang funny about your space bar! That would totally get annoying! :lmao: I'm just thankful my computer didn't completely fry!! When I did it, it started making a like sizzling noise and then smelled like it was burning! But it's all good now!! :thumbsup2
I thought for a little while I was going to have to ask for a new laptop for Christmas!! hahaha It's pretty ridiculous how much we depend on technology! I was really trying to figure out what was going to do on Saturday mornings if I didn't have a computer! :rotfl:

I think we are going to see the Muppets tonight! I'm so excited!:yay:
 Thanks, have a great weekend, too!

Hey everyone!! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!! I haven't done so much yet, but I'm not complaining!! I like to be able to rest on the weekends when I can! I'm currently watching Tangled as I write this! Such a great movie!!

I finally got all of my pictures for the next post uploaded onto photbucket, and now I'm sitting at Ben's computer so I have access the the period button! Hahaha (Even though I haven't even used it for this update yet! Lol)No new news on the upcoming Oct. trip as of now! I'm dying to go to Disneyland before out WDW trip..I'm still thinking about it, but we might wait and just save up for our 2013 trip! Also, we have a few trips to Dallas and such coming up in the new year to hold me over for WDW!! (I'll definitely be hitting up the Disney Store again!)

Along with saving up money for our 2013 trip, we are trying to pay off some of our school loans and college expenses! Yikes! Haha
Ben just needs one more class until he graduates, so we are trying to get that done ASAP! He will have a degree in History when he's done. He doesn't want to do anything with that degree and wants to go back for Computer Software stuff, which I know he will be fabulous at! He built his own computer a few years back, and disassembled my laptop two days ago when I spilled coffee on it and put it back together, and it works great! So, we are tying to get everything situated with that!
And I have decided I want to go back and get my teaching certification. I already have a degree in Political Science, but it's truly hard to find a job right now with that degree. I'm leaning towards getting my certification in high school English. I think I would really enjoy that! My mom is/was a certified English teacher, but when she had her brain aneurism, she wasn't able to teach anymore. :( So, I think it would be cool to follow in my mother's footsteps!
I have kind of looked at the information, and have decided to start in 2013 if everything works out! Then I will we will still be able to go to WDW in Dec. 2013! hahahahaha
But none of this is set in stone right now, I still have to pray about it, and see what happens!

Anyways, that's what's going on with us right now! Now we can move on back to Feb. 2011!
Chapter 7. Exciting Everest Expedition!
When I last left off, we were checking out the sights at AK! We had just got out picture taken at AK, and we were ready to see what else AK had to offer!

The details absolutely amazed me here, and I took random pictures all the way to our next destination!

260-1.jpg

I thought this looked really cool!

261-1.jpg

This, too!

We were just walking along and really enjoying the atmosphere and each other! The park definitely was not crowded that day. It was probably because it was a little freeeeezing outside, but we didn't let that stop us!

263-1.jpg

Monkey!

We were ready for another adventure, so we headed towards Everest!!!!
264-1.jpg

I was so excited to ride this ride! This was, of course, our first time to ride this, so again, we didn't know what to expect.

266-1.jpg

Waiting in line!!

Holy Moley!! Let me first say that this is probably my most favorite ride ever!!! I had already figured out that Disney was different than any other theme park I had ever been to, but after this ride, the story it told, and the details that were added, I fell in loooove with WDW! If Disney works this hard to put this much detail and tell a complete story in a approx. 1 minute roller coaster ride, they definitely have an amazing thing going on here!
I can't even explain how this ride made me feel! Disney World rocks! I had never been on a ride like that, and I can't wait to ride it again in Oct. so I can feel the same way I felt when I rode it in Feb.!!

Ben felt the same way about it. Disney just does things bigger and better than any other theme park!

268-1.jpg

word.

We didn't jump back on Everest, even though we loved it. We wanted to see what else AK had to offer!!
We decided to take on another trail!

Again, the details floored me and I enjoyed seeing the animals; especially the Tigers!! Ben and I stayed about 30 minutes just looking at everything!

269.jpg

Kimono dragon?(maybe?)

275.jpg

276.jpg

Bats!

279.jpg

And here is Ben acting like those The Price is Right girls! Hahahaha

280.jpg

I really thought this area was so pretty!

284.jpg

Then we got to the Tigers!! They are sooo pretty!
285.jpg

287.jpg

This guy was already sleepy, and it was still the morning! Haha

291.jpg

So pretty!

293.jpg

More animals!!:)

294.jpg

295.jpg

Why can't I have this in my backyard?! Oh, yeah... I live in dry Texas....haha

We went looking for birds for a while....but IMO I don't feel the need to stand around for a long time looking for random birds. I can just look up at the sky most times and see a bird if I really want to!
296.jpg

297.jpg

300.jpg

They were pretty, though!

298.jpg

My husband isn't a very bad photographer!

On our way to our next destination, we saw another bird! (see we don't have to go to special places to see them! Hahaha) He sure is cute though!
304.jpg

...and thirsty!

I feel we had gotten a lot done in a very short amount of time, but I was not finished yet!! We had some acrobatic monkeys to see!! I'll save that for next time!!

Happy weekend everyone, and God bless!

I looooove Everest. One of my favorite rides. That's why I told Kris we have to go there. Anytime I bring up Animal Kingdom, I get 'Do we have to go there?' We spend half a day at most so he'll just have to deal. EVEREST! I also love Dinosaur because that's one of the best photo ops in all of WDW.

The bats. Shudder. Those things are huge and if I ever saw one out in the open somewhere, I'd freak.

Cats love to sleep. That's all our cat does. Unless he's eating. We have the fattest cat I've ever seen. When he sits down, he looks like a triangle.

If you guys decide to go back to school, good luck! :goodvibes

I know, Everest is so great!! It looks like a regular rollercoaster, but when you get on it, it truly tells a story!!

Dinosaur is great, too! We rode it twice this trip, and scared me both times! haha:rotfl:

I agree with you on the bats! If I saw one in "real life" I would freak out, too! But Disney bats didn't scare me that much! haha

hahahahaha that is hilarious about your cat!! Cats and dogs have the life, man!! All they do is sleep and eat! I wish that's all I could do, well that and go to WDW! haha

And thanks about going back to school! I'm kind of nervous about it, hopefully I'll remember how to study!! haha

I'M ALIVE!!!My internet connection on the other hand is kind of touch and go!!:surfweb:This is why I haven't updated in a while! Sorry about that, friends!! Everytime I try to update or even get on the DIS my internet freaks out and decides to disconnect, then it will connect again and give me hope---then disconnect again!:rotfl: So needless to say, it's been quite frustrating!!

But today I woke up, and it was working!:yay: So I just wanted to drop you guys a line, and let you know I will be back tonight (internet permitting) to update you guys on my life and my TR!! I have been having DIS-withdrawls! haha I'm not sure it's healthy!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!!

God Bless!!:goodvibes

Hey everyone!! I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated, but this week has been verrry long and stressful! Work was stressful; then to top it off, I have to get some stuff ready for taxes and name changes worked out since I got married, and I can’t find my birth certificate!! And THEN my dad had surgery this week! It was supposed to be a routine surgery on his kidney, but after the surgery the tube that was draining stuff out of his kidney fell out so he had to get surgery AGAIN!! So, needless to say, it’s been a long and stressful week! By Friday, I was SO exhausted! I was falling asleep at 9:00! Then Saturday, Ben and I went to Church, went shopping for the last of our Christmas presents, went out to eat, and then went to a place called Bishop Hills to look at Christmas lights! These people go ALL out decorating their houses! They have hay rides that go through the neighborhoods and it’s so pretty! Ben really doesn’t like all the Christmas hustle and bustle, but he went out of his way to make it fun for me, because I love it! He even put on a Pandora Christmas station so we could listen to Christmas music while we looked at the lights! It was so much fun, and a great way to relax and spend time with my husband! :) It was much needed, and I’m very glad we got to do that!
So every year, my mom has me make a Christmas list of things I would like for Christmas; She likes the way I do it, because I list every single thing that I want and she knows I know I’m not getting it all, and it helps her have quite a few options of what to get me and she knows I’ll love it all! I asked for a lot of Disney stuff this year(who would have thought?!lol) I figured I would share what I wanted this year: (I promise I’m not selfish, I just like to give my mom options, and I know I won’t get all of it, and I’m completely fine with that!)
-Kindle Fire (I know I’m not getting this, but I really think they are awesome!)
- Smashbox loose powder (I love this makeup; it’s just so expensive!)
-More clothes to wear at work
-Disney CD’s
-Classic Disney volumes 1-5
-4 Parks One World
-Wishes- A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams
-Disney EPCOT Sound Track- Tapestry of Dreams CD
-House shoes
-Disney PJ’s
-Disney T-shirts
-Disney Gift Cards
-How I Met Your Mother Ssn 6
-Dexter Ssn 5
-iTunes card

And I think that’s all I asked for! Ben asked for a lot of Xbox games(he looooves playing games!) I know Christmas isn’t about the gifts, but I really hope he likes what I got him this year! I’m not going to write what I got him yet, just in case he reads this before next week!

I hope this week just flies by! I am off Tuesday(I have to use some of my Paid Time Off before I lose it) and I’m off next Wednesday, too! We are supposed to get some crazy snow this week! Ben works 30 minutes away from where we live, so it makes me a little nervous to think of him driving in it, but it will be okay!
In Disney related news, I’m SOOOOOOOO excited for our trip! It’s getting closer and closer! I’m still trying to figure out what to do about our dates, and changing them; I’m really waiting to see what PIN codes come out, first! And I can’t wait to be able to make ADR’s! AHHHH just a couple of more weeks, and we will be in the same year as our Disney trip! Super duper exciting! Also, I am almost 100 percent positive that we aren’t going to be able to go to Disneyland, but that’s okay! But I AM almost 100 percent sure that we ARE going back to WDW in ’13 in either Nov or Dec!!! Soooo excited! Ben has just accepted that Disney will be a part of our lives from now on! Hahaha

Alright, I guess now is a good time to go back to Feb ’11 and relive the magic that we experienced during that trip!!

Chapter 8 I Definitely Felt The Love Tonight!
When I last left off, we had just finished up looking at the Tigers, and enjoying the scenery! I had planned the night before, and knew that there was a FOTLK show coming up, so we headed there next!
Here are some pictures of the sights on the way to the show:
305.jpg
(this is so so cute!)
306.jpg
(I just love this as well)
Camp Minnie Mickey is so absolutely adorable! I’m not exactly sure why, but it reminds me of the Parent Trap movie, with Lindsey Lohan (pre-drug abuse!) I love that movie! I pretty much have it memorized!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Lion King movie, and was excited to see what FOTLK was about, and what it entailed! Well-I LOVED IT!! OMG I can’t even put into words how much I loved it! It was so magical, and beautiful! It was put together so well, and it definitely gave me goose bumps! Ben loved it as well! This was definitely not the last time we saw that this trip!

307.jpg

I wasn’t sure exactly what the show was going to be like, but I really think they hit the nail on the head with it! It encompasses everything that the movie portrays, and the performers are so awesome, and inspiring! It’s just truly magical!
310.jpg

I took so many pictures of the show, so much, in fact, I really don’t think I got to experience the show exactly how I wanted to! But I was just so amazed by it, I just kept on clicking away with my camera! Ben and I kept commenting to each other about how awesome the show was!

The Finale is probably my favorite part! The build-up is so beautiful, and it was so magical! I wish there was another word to describe it, but that’s all I’ve got; because it was—magical! Lol Sorry there are so many pictures, and that’s not even close to how many I have of that, but I just couldn’t get enough! We both loved the show! I can’t remember which section we got—I really want to say we were in the Warthog section! (I think we were!)
After the show, we decided to visit some characters! The lines weren’t that long, but we didn’t want to stand in a whole bunch of lines at that time, so we just met one! But it was such an awesome interaction! GOOFY!!! This was our first Character meet, so I didn’t know what to expect, and I didn’t know how Ben would be with characters! He was so cute with them! He was laughing and cutting up with Goofy, and he just lit up! It was like we immediately turned into kids again! Yet, another reason I love Disney! Innocence comes back, and worries fade away!
345.jpg
<3
After a great interaction, we headed to:
349.jpg

This land is such a neat place to look at, I think! It’s definitely different than the other sections of the park! It’s quirky and fun!
351.jpg

We decided we needed to brave Dinosaur!
352.jpg

Let me just say, we didn’t anything about this ride! I had read maybe a paragraph about it when we were planning the trip, and it said it was “terrifying for some children” so I was like-“eh it won’t be intense-I’m not a kid, I’ll be just fine!” hahahaha That ride was a LOT more intense than I thought it would be! It kind of scared the crap out of me! Hahaha It was A LOT of fun, though and I loved it! Talk about sensory overload though!
Our ride pictures were sooooooo hilarious! Ben and I both looked petrified! I wasn’t expecting such loudness and scariness! Haha But, it was awesome! (This is, again, another ride that we definitely came back to ride later in the trip!)
After barely escaping with our lives, we decided to explore more of Dino-land! The rollercoaster (primeval-whirl?) was closed for refurb, so we didn’t get to ride it! Maybe it will be open in Oct! We didn’t ride the other ride either (Triceratop-spin?) We figured, Dumbo, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Astro Orbiter are all versions of this, so we weren’t missing much! It was a lot of fun to look around, though! It definitely is a different atmosphere there!
354.jpg

I’m not sure when we went to go eat, but I’m going with we went after Dinosaur! Don’t hold me to it, though! Lol
I guess, it was after this picture, too! Haha
355.jpg

Like I’ve said before, I wasn’t a DISer during this trip, so I didn’t take any pictures of our food, bad, I know! We ate at Pizzafari, though and it was AWESOME! Ben had a pepperoni pizza, side salad, and chocolate mousse; and I had an Antipasto salad! Ben loved his pizza (he said there wasn’t anything at DW he didn’t like!) My salad was pretty good! I really have never had a salad like that! It had salami, olives, balls of cheese, sausage, and other things in it, but it was really good! It had some type of vinaigrette thing going on, too, and it was great! 5/5, Pizzafari, you are good!
Well, this is where I’m leaving you guys! This is for three reasons: 1)I don’t have any more pictures uploaded on photobucket right now 2)I’m hungry and it’s lunch time 3) The next update will be long, and it will kick off one of my most favorite memories of the trip!
Up next: We stand around for like 2 hours for the Super bowl parade to see Aaron Rogers, but then give up! Hahaha (I think I forgot to mention we arrived on Super bowl day, so we were there when they had the Aaron Rogers parade thingy! But I’ll update on that next time!) Until then, everyone have a great day, and God Bless! (Sorry for the abundance of exclamation marks! I’m using my laptop right now, and the period button is still dead! Haha)

I asked for Disney gift cards this Christmas too :) I hope I get some! I just cashed in my SR points for a $50 Disney gc. :woohoo:

I love the FOTLK show! I haven't seen it since 2009 and I definitely want to see it next year. That's one of my favorite movies of all time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Dinosaur is the best photo op in all of WDW. :rotfl: One time when I went on it, there was a couple next to me, probably in their late 60s/early 70s. They had no idea what the ride did and when they asked me if it was rough, all I could respond with was 'uhhhh...' :rotfl: I don't think they enjoyed it very much!

Heeyy! I hope you had a great Christmas!! Sorry it's been so long!

YAY for a $50 gift card! I bet some serious damage can be done with that! haha
Lion King is one of my favorite movies of all time, too!! And FOTLK is so awesome; it reminds me of the movie in so many ways, but still has it's own unique thing going on, too!

Yes, Dinosaur is awesome, and the pictures that come from it are priceless! haha
Those poor people! hahahaha I bet they had a not too pleasant experience with that ride! haha:rotfl:

Hello, Friends! Sorry It’s been so long since I’ve replied to anyone or even updated on here! Christmas time is crazzzzy busy! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! We sure did!! We didn’t get to do everything we were wanting to do, but it was still a great Christmas! (The 3 day weekend didn’t hurt either! Haha)

The Friday before Christmas, we were wanting to go to our Church’s Candlelight service at 7:00pm, but I didn’t get off ‘till about 6:05 (and our Church is 45 mins away)! We were still going to try to go, but by the time I got home, and we got ready; we had 40 minutes to get there! :scared1:So, needless to say, we didn’t get to go that day!

There were 4 Candlelight services planned for that Saturday (Christmas Eve) So we thought we could catch the 4:30 one, because DH worked ‘till 3:30! We planned on that, but we open presents on Christmas Eve evening (usually around 7:00) except this year I had a 4 year old and a 6 year old cousin that couldn’t contain themselves until 7!:rotfl: So, we had to move up our time to about 5:00 and that was pushing it! Hahaha So, we didn’t get to go to Candlelight service then either! It was a bummer, but it really couldn’t be helped! :confused3

Christmas Eve was crazy busy for me, though! I had procrastinated, and hadn’t wrapped any of the presents I had gotten everyone; so, I had to do all of that! I also wanted to bake some sugar cookies from scratch to take over to my aunt and uncle’s house when we opened presents! On top of that, I had to get things ready to go to midnight mass with DH’s mom that night! (It’s a tradition we have with her to go to midnight mass with her every Christmas Eve!) She lives 30 minutes away from us, and her Church is an additional 15 minutes away from her house; so it was going to be a long night for us, especially since we are used to going to bed at about 9:30! Hahaha :faint:

While I was wrapping Christmas presents in my room that day, I hear a little knock on my door; It was my 4yr old cousin, Logan! He really wanted to help me wrap presents! He’s so cute, and I know he was really excited to open presents, I figured it would be a good distraction for him for a while! However, a 30 minute wrapping job quickly turned into an hour and a half wrapping adventure! It was cute, though!

He had to help put tape on everything, then he decided he needed to write everyone’s name on the boxes (which consisted of a lot of unreadable scribbles!), after that, he wanted to draw my dad on some boxes! Haha It definitely took a while! I had to put my foot down a little while later, when he started to pick up the scissors and try to cut things!! Big people scissors and 4 year olds don’t exactly mix! Haha So, after that fun time, he wanted to help me take all of the wrapped presents to the living room, so we could load the car later to take them over to my aunt’s house! He, then, proceeded to tell everyone what we got them! Hahahaha I had gotten a digital camera for my mom and let him take it into the living room; I told him “Logan, be very careful with this, it’s Auntie’s camera, we don’t want to break it!” So, he tip-toed very carefully to the living room, making sure not to drop it-then he walked up to my mom, gave her the wrapped box and said, “Here’s your pwesent, Auntie, it’s a tamwa” (he can’t say his r’s or c’s) hahahahaha:rotfl2: It was too cute for me to be upset about it!

Anyway, I got all the presents wrapped, and the cookies baked, with barely any time to spare! We then headed to my aunt’s house; where we opened presents! We had such a great time! It was Ben and I’s first Christmas together as a married couple, so it was such a special time! We got more than we needed or deserved, and it was just a great time with family! I got some Mickey Mouse pajamas, The Disneyland video game for the Xbox and Kinect, clothes, and some Disney CD’s!! It was awesome! Ben got almost everything he asked for too! Fun times!:thumbsup2

We, then, had to get home and get dressed for midnight mass! It was about 9:30, and we were getting sleeeeepy and grummmmpy! But, we trudged on!
I would just like to say, I STAYED AWAKE FOR THE WHOLE THING! In all the years that I have been going to midnight mass with Ben’s mother, I have never stayed awake for the whole thing, but this year I did!! I’m pretty proud of myself! It was very pretty, and I’m glad we went! It means a lot to his mom that we go! :goodvibes

On our way back home, it started SNOWING!! It was going to be a white Christmas!:yay: It was a very unexpected snowfall, and it was actually quite petrifying trying to drive in the hard snowfall that was going on, but it was beautiful at the same time! It started at about 2:00 am and didn’t stop snowing until about 4:00pm on Christmas day!! It was awesome!:wizard: The only thing that kind of sucked was that we didn’t get to go eat Christmas day dinner with Ben’s family since the roads were so bad!:sad2: We did eat Christmas dinner with my family, though and it was great! We had ham, brisket, stuffing, green beans, broccoli cheese and rice casserole, and desserts! It was good! Then we just played with the stuff we got! I’m still sore from my Disneyland Kinect game! Hahaha It was a great Christmas! I love to celebrate Jesus’ birthday with my family, and remembering the REAL reason for the season!! :lovestruc
Anywho, that’s what happened for our Christmas! I hope you guys had a great one! Sorry for the lack of pictures in this update, but I’m about to do a Disneymoon post, so, there will be plenty in that one!!!:cheer2:

I’m back!!
Magic Kingdom funn!
So last time, we were just leaving AK to head over to MK to see the parade, and see the special parade for the winners of the Super Bowl (Green Bay!) I knew Ben would be excited to see that, so we thought we would hop over there so we could check it out! We got there pretty early, and there weren’t a lot of people lined up yet, so we decided to go get our “married ears!” We stopped in the shops on Main Street to look for them! I LOVE the shops there! There is just something magical about them, and I love how they are themed! There are so many things to look at, it’s kind of overwhelming at first! At that point, we were on a mission to find ears, so we didn’t look at everything! Once we found them, we put them on, and found a place to watch the parade!
356-1.jpg

Awww (married mice!)
While we were waiting for the parade to start, we were entertained by a few groups! The first to play for us was the Main Street Marching Band! I love how cheerful Main Street USA is! It’s one of my favorite places!!  It was cool to listen to them playing some familiar Disney songs!
361.jpg

After they moved down the line a little, I decided to take a castle pic! (Can’t have too many of those!!) Main Street wasn’t very crowded at that moment (they were all on the sidewalk) so I thought this picture turned out pretty good!
364.jpg

Then another Main Street member stopped by! This guy was a riot! I loved seeing him interact with the guests! It was a special moment to watch!
365.jpg

Then the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade started! This was my first Disney Parade, so I was extra excited! I love this picture, I think it captures the excitement at MK, and just expresses how fun and truly magical it is!
372.jpg

373.jpg

Okay, and now is the time in this post where I’m going to just put a lot of pictures of the parade! Haha I loved how some of these pictures turned out!

Love this movie so much!
I loved this parade! It’s so much fun, and the song is so catchy!! It truly brings out the child-like innocence in you! For a little while there, I just pretended that all the characters were real!! It’s just fun to be a kid again, even for just a little while! This is one of my favorite moments! Hanging out on Main Street USA with my husband, enjoying a parade with some of my favorite characters from my childhood! I just love this place!
So, after the parade, the other parade was supposed to start! The one with Aaron Rogers! Hahaha Well, it got delayed, and then delayed again-due to weather! While we were waiting it out, Ben asked if I just wanted to go explore more of MK! I told him it was completely up to him because I knew he wanted to see the parade (he really likes football!) He said that the time we were waiting for the parade, we could be doing something else, and that we didn’t spend all this money to just sit on the sidewalk for 2 hours hahahaha! He’s a Dallas Cowboy football fan, so it didn’t break his heart to miss seeing The Packer’s parade, but it would have been cool to see it!
It turns out like 10 minutes after we left, it started! Hahaha go figure!
But that’s okay, we headed to Tomorrow land for some fun!
Continued in next post!
